The Compare My Move team has many years of experience in the moving home industry, so we have an eye for quality when it comes to great surveying companies. We hand pick the very best surveyors across the country to ensure that, whoever you choose to carry out your survey, you can rest assured you'll get a great service.

All surveying companies are put through our 4 step verification process before being accepted into our network:

Step 1 - RICS Registered

No company will be allowed to join our network unless they are RICS regulated. This ensures that your chosen surveyor will always be of the very best quality. 

Being RICS regulated means that a surveying firm:

  • Must adhere to the 'Red Book' valuation standards.
  • Is committed to openness and transparency.
  • Are experts in their field, delivering credible and high-quality reports.
Step 2 - Full, Working Website

All of our members are required to have a full, working, informative website with contact information giving you piece of mind that they are always in reach.

Step 3 - Third Party Feedback

Our team trawls the web for third party feedback when any surveying company applies to join our network. We use countless websites to search for genuine customer feedback. Any negative feedback will be a black mark against any potential member and in many cases will result in an unsuccessful application.

Step 4 - Code of Practice

All members must agree to and adhere to our code of practice and we expect the following from them at all times:

  • Contact the customer within 48 hours.
  • Provide a comprehensive and easy to understand quotation.
  • If undertaking the job, ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to complete the job as agreed with the customers.
  • Ensure staff are competently trained and monitored and conduct themselves professionally.
  • Have sufficient insurance in place.
  • Provide quality customer service throughout and always put the customers needs first at all time.
  • Offer quality after sales service whenever required.

Once we accept a surveyor into our network, we then continue to monitor them for their entire Compare My Move membership.

Anybody that uses our website to find a surveyor will be invited to leave feedback on the company they chose to use. We read all feedback sent in and this helps us to ensure companies are adhering to our code of practice and operating in a professional manner.

In extreme cases, if a surveying company is not performing to our expectations, they will be removed from our network with immediate effect.
