Compare My Move is the home of house moving. We operate an online comparison service for users looking to save time and money on removals, surveying and conveyancing services. Based in Cardiff and undergoing rapid growth, we are on the hunt for the best people to join our talented and enthusiastic team.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for a Head of Paid Search to grow and manage a team of PPC specialists. You will need to be an innovative leader of strategy, optimisation, and communications to increase profits across all accounts.

You will need to have a proven track record of delivering results in key paid search channels. You will have previous experience managing paid media strategy, budgets and demonstrating improved performance across all key metrics. Conversion, optimisation, planning and forecasting will also feature massively within the role so experience and ability to demonstrate these skills along with an enthusiastic proactive attitude will be key to succeeding in this role.

Job Description


  • Manage, grow and develop a successful paid search team
  • Create, implement and lead all paid search strategies
  • Oversee Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads accounts
  • Identify new areas of paid search opportunities for the business
  • Lead the management of paid search budgets and maximising the ROI
  • Manage and develop KPI’s across accounts and report monthly
  • Insightful and cross channel trend reporting
  • Manage account projects efficiently
  • Budgeting, forecasting and managing monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Ensuring best practices are adhered to with regards to strategy, account structure, campaign setup and optimisation

Experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience - either at an agency or in house
  • Management experience – used to growing and developing a team
  • Used to running large spend accounts (£1 million+)
  • Experience in search AND display network
  • Experience in remarketing and cross selling
  • Experience in Facebook ads
  • Up to date Google Ads & Bing Ads qualified
  • Proficient with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience utilising paid search for lead generation desirable
