A RICS Home Survey Level 2 is suitable for more modern homes, built in the last 50 years or so, homes in good condition and those made of conventional building materials.
Your survey report will provide an insight into the condition of the property, highlighting any issues that should be identified before you commit to purchasing the home. This includes any potential legal issues and any major building work required. A Home Survey Level 2 can give you peace of mind when buying a property.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
A RICS Home Survey Level 3 provides a far more thorough look at a property, resulting in a detailed report complete with photographs. This survey is recommended for older homes, unconventional properties and homes with extensive building work or in poor condition.
Your report will provide you with details of any work required, any problems or issues found and recommendations from the surveyor. The report can also potentially be used to support any price negotiations on the property, taking into consideration the costs of any work required.
