As it’s one of the most expensive purchases you’ll ever make, buying a property needs to be a well informed decision. Never underestimate the importance of a property survey and how it can even help save you thousands of pounds in repairs.
If your home is not older than 80 years and is in fairly good condition, then you will need our RICS homebuyers survey. This report will provide professional advice and information on the most urgent or serious issues on the condition of the property. From blocked gutters to the threat of damp, our highly-trained surveyors will carefully scrutinise the building for these rising issues.
By ignoring these potential issues or defects, buyers are at risk of financial strain caused by an unworthy investment they ultimately can’t afford. A property survey eliminates this risk. Once the inspection is finished, we will present the report to you in an easy-to-read format and are available to discuss the matter further if there's anything you do not fully understand.
Building Survey
If you’re property is older than 80 years, large, unusually built or altered, then you will require our RICS building survey. This type of report contains a longer, more detailed inspection compared to the homebuyers survey. It is the most comprehensive type of property survey available. Our trained surveyors will look for evidence of damp, timber defects and structural movement when surveying the building, as well as other common issues.
We will tailor each report to suit your individual requirements, and will offer further help and guidance if any problems are identified. It’s important to understand what repairs will be needed and whether they will affect the overall value of your property, as it'll help you make an informed decision before committing to the transaction.
