I used Compare My Move to obtain survey quotes for a level 2 survey (along with a second comparison site). My request didn't fit the usual parameters, so I used the notes space on the online request forms to add the specifics. Of the 12 quotes I received, Daniel was the only one to have read my additional notes and tailored his quote to fit what was needed. Not the cheapest, nor the most expensive but definitely the quote that inspired the most confidence.I thought there might be problems gaining access to the property, but Daniel managed this quickly with ease.Ultimately, his report covered all that we'd asked, in an easy to read clearly understood format. We used House to Homes for a RICS home survey level 2 on a house we were looking to buy. I chose House to Homes because I felt more comfortable using a local surveyor rather than the bigger companies you may see online. When enquiring, Danny talked me through the process of the survey and explained costs etc. He was not pushy in any way, was very helpful and I felt assured by the fact that the person I was speaking to would be doing the actual survey.Danny's communication throughout the process was first class. He made the time to set up pre-meetings ahead of the survey as well as a couple of follow up meetings to discuss findings in detail. He took time to highlight to me the areas that required immediate attention and shared an honest opinion of how best to address. The Survey report was very thorough.I cant say for sure, but I highly doubt I would have received he level of service I experienced, had I gone for a larger surveying company that compete online for such work. I opted for a level 2 survey on a newer built bungalow for my mother and I am really pleased I chose House to Home. Danny understood how important it was for me to ensure my elderly mother was going to move into a home that didnt give her anxiety as a result of surprises after the sale is complete and all my concerns were captured on a call prior to the survey. Danny went through his inspection over a phonecall straight after the survey and I received the report two days later which was detailed incorporating a list of all the items I had on my list that I needed reassurance on. Danny called me once Id read the report to see if I had any further questions but the detail was really good with clear pictures of areas that need attention for me to have the confidence to proceed with the purchase on behalf of my mother. Excellent. Phone call before the survey to see what particular concerns I had. Phone call after survey explaining in laymans terms what was found during the survey. Followed by an Email with with all details of the problems with the property. One of the best decisions Ive ever made and the best 425 Ive ever spent. The property turned out to be a money pit.
