There were delays in getting the survey done, with me having to chase them at every step. Emails were also lost and the survey not uploaded when they said it would, again costing me time to chase.The flat I purchase turned out to have long-standing damp in very obvious places e.g. chimney breasts, which should have been the obvious areas for the surveyor to use a damp detector to check. The report stated that a detector was used so I am surprised it did not detect any damp.The report generally stated that there was nothing wrong with the flat and that they could not access a lot of areas. However, a basic thing they could have checked was under rugs in the hallway (not carpets, and not fastened, as the report stated) - when I moved in, I found severe water damage and deep scratches to the wooden flooring. The water damaged area was by the freezer and uncovered by any rugs.
I Am Surveyors did an very good job and provided a comprehensive report. I was able to book a survey date quickly and received the report within the timelines given. However I did find it difficult to get in contact with them before and after the survey date. Eventually I did receive a call from the surveyor who answered all my questions in detail.
Prompt and professional. They provided updates at every stage of the proceedings with in-depth factual report in a timely manner.
I have called and left messages to the surveyor after I received report. As l have a few questions about the report. However the surveyor didnt reply at all. I wish this company can improve their services. The surveyor can be approachable.

I was contacted by the Vendors Estate Agent to advise that they had not turned up at the allocated time and not advised why. On speaking to the estate agent I learnt that the surveyor had already cancelled one appt unknown to myself. I then contacted the surveyors and they did not appear bothered that they hadna??t let the vendor or myself know.
Once the survey had been done there were no issues but based on my interaction with them I would not recommend purely from a customer based opinion
