The RICS Level 2 Survey, also known as the HomeBuyers Report, is the most common type of report available. It is best suited for newer properties and properties with standard construction. This report comes with an easy-to-understand traffic light system that rates different elements of the property as well as a summary of risks to the building based on the condition. Our surveyor will include a professional opinion on the market value of the property if a valuation has been added to the report.
Your surveyor will also include a list of issues that could affect the value of the property, an insurance reinstatement figure for the property, and advice on what factors require repairs and ongoing maintenance.
Valuation
We also offer private Valuations which is the simplest report type and provided for purposes of Help to Buy, shared ownership, taxation, probate, and matrimonial. Your Valuation will also include a brief description of the property, basic details of the construction of the property, and its gross external floor area. Your surveyor will determine if the property has suffered from any structural movement as well as any other matters that will have a significant effect on the property’s value.
