Kevin Shaw and Associates’ Homebuyer Report is suited for modern properties that are in good condition without having undergone any reconstruction work. A RICS qualified chartered surveyor will asses your property, checking for any minor and major issues such as rot, damp, mould and mildew and infestations.
We will carry out a visual inspection of all areas of your property including gas and electric problems. We will highlight any areas of concern in a detailed report that will be easy to understand. If required, your surveyor will also talk you through each issue and show you the problems in the property to ensure that you understand the results.
If your property is a listed older building constructed with unusual materials and either has or plans to undergo any reconstruction work, then Kevin Shaw and Associates’ Building Survey is for you. Your survey will be carried out by a RICS verified chartered surveyor with a wide experience of surveying a variety of different building types. This survey is more in-depth than any other, looking behind furniture and below floorboards.
Common issues found in a building survey are structural damage, condensation and dampness. We will present any areas of concern in our thorough report using the ‘traffic light’ system. If your house receives a 3, it needs major repairs carried out. If your house receives a condition rating 1, then there’s no areas of concern from the surveyor.
