Homebuyer Survey
A homebuyer survey is best suited for more modern properties (for example, homes built after 1960) and those in good condition. This will give an overall idea of the condition of the home, but won’t be as detailed as the Building Survey.
A homebuyer survey will be able to flag any visible concerns in the home and the report will contain details of any urgent work required by the buyer once the property is in their name. Your concise and unique report will be jargon-free and include a clean and coded rating so you can identify the important issue and any major concerns.
Building Survey
A building survey is recommended for homes which are older, have structural concerns, in poor condition or that have had extensive work and renovations.
This survey is far more thorough than the homebuyers survey, given a detailed insight into the property and all accessible areas of the home. This includes the structure of the building, any and all repairs and improvements required and details of anything which may cause an issue in the future.
This is the highest level non-invasive survey as part of the home-buying properties. You will be given a jargon-free and detailed report including photographs to help you understand the structure of the property and any concerns with the home.
