They were quick to respond to my initial enquiry. Their price was very competitive. We were referred another surveyor by our solicitor and for the same report they were charging almost double the amount! As promised, the report was delivered to us within 3 working days. They arranged directly with the agent for them to go survey the property which was good as it meant I didn’t have to get involved.

The homebuyers report was fine but heavily caveated. It didn’t contain an independent valuation but instead just advised that it was worth what the agreed price was (the agreed price is an obscure figure so there was no way that this was a coincidence). The survey took place two days after booking and the report was received 4 working days after.

Communication is poor. Had to chase to get the survey booked in, and no idea if the survey even took place as they have not confirmed that it went ahead as planned.
After having paid out for the survey, it would be of more comfort to the customer to keep them informed along the way.

Building Surveys
RICS building survey are a vital tool for prospective home owners, as the reports provide a comprehensive view of the construction quality of the property in question. We recommend a Building Survey if the property was constructed in an unusual or non-traditional way, if it has been altered or converted, if the property is particularly old, or if you plan to extend or renovate the property.
If unsure, we can give you advice on the best property survey to fit your particular needs or property type, but expect a Building Survey to be a comprehensive and in-depth look into the property, highlighting structural defects or potential issues. We do not carry out Building Surveys on flats or apartments.
HomeBuyer Reports
HomeBuyer Reports are perfect for all types of conventionally-constructed properties such as flats, bungalows and houses in fair condition. It's recommended for modern builds, as older properties will be better suited to a Building Survey. You can expect serious defects and issues to be highlighted in the report, and although generally cheaper than a Building Survey it is less in-depth. You'll also get a valuation alongside the survey, and the report will highlight defects which may impact the house price.
The report is standardised by RICS, so you can expect a professional and easy-to-read survey addressing all you need to know ahead of a house move. Like all of our surveying and valuation services, we pride ourselves on our expert local knowledge and quick turn-around.

Whilst a valuation is not a comprehensive property survey, it is suitable for any property type and will ensure you know exactly how much the home is worth and what you're paying for. The building's structural condition will not be assessed but the valuation will factor in age, location and the home's basic condition.
