Here at Norwoods Survey, not only do we specialise in RICS property surveys, but we also specialise in residential valuations. Residential valuations are primarily based on owner-occupation and completed comparable data to establish a value for the property in question. Our experienced staff will conduct a physical inspection of the home to provide an accurate valuation that should aid you when applying for a mortgage.
Valuations are not property surveys, however. It only assesses the suitability of the property for lending purposes and will not contain an inspection of the building’s structural condition. The factors we will assess include age, size, basic condition and location.
Homebuyers Report
Our RICS registered surveyors will provide an in-depth examination of the condition of the house, searching for any potential issues and providing a detailed report for your peace of mind. These are recommended for homes in good condition and less than 50 years old.

Building Survey
Most suitable for an older building or if you have any concerns with regards to structure, a RICS building survey is a far more comprehensive survey, looking at the condition of the whole property.

The Building Survey report will also prepare you for any work needed on the home and the urgency at which it is required once the purchase is complete.
