RICS Home Survey Level 2
The RICS Home Survey Level 2 was previously known as the homebuyers survey. The investigation will focus on assessing the general condition of the main elements of your property. It is often recommended for properties built within the last 50 years in reasonably good condition.
This intermediate level of service includes a more extensive visual inspection of the building, its services and grounds. The report objectively describes the condition of the different elements and provides an assessment of the relative importance of the defects detected.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
If the property is a large, older or run-down building, is unusual or altered, or if you’re planning major works, then you will need the RICS Home Survey Level 3. This was previously known as a building survey or full structural survey.
This survey type is usually recommended for buildings more than 70-80 years old or with significant historical damage. Our Level 3 Survey will give you a greater explanation of any defects and recommend remedies.
Snagging Survey
We also offer snagging surveys for customers buying new build homes. This will check for cracks and structural integrity, in addition to defects and any issues in the construction of the home. This provides you with peace of mind when buying a newly built property.
