RICS Home Survey Level 2
The RICS Home Survey Level 2 was once referred to as the homebuyers survey and is most suitable for modern homes built in the last 70-80 years that are in reasonable condition. It is the most common type of property survey and includes a detailed inspection of the home in question with an insightful and jargon-free report.
You will be provided with a general overview of the building’s condition, any legal or health and safety issues found and any defects that require repair. This will ensure you can make a reasoned and informed decision before the purchase.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
The RICS Home Survey Level 3 was previously referred to as a building survey. It is the most comprehensive report available and is best suited to older and period buildings, properties that have undergone significant alterations and those that are in poor condition. It will include a very thorough and detailed inspection of the building as well as an easy-to-read yet comprehensive report.
There will be an in-depth analysis of the condition of the property as well as expert advice on any repairs required. Potential risks or defects will be highlighted to ensure you understand the scope of remedial work required.
