Review:We initially requested a building survey but were advised that a home buyer's survey would most likely be sufficient with the option to upgrade to a building survey should Marcus deem it necessary. This was very helpful and saved us an unnecessary expense as first time buyers. Great service throughout and very thorough report at a competitive price, would definitely use again!

A RICS Home Survey Level 2 (previously called the home buyers report) is the choice for those selling or buying a modern, traditional property that is in fair condition and is built from common materials. This report is designed to uncover hidden defects and problems in conventional flats, bungalows or houses, including expert advice on maintenance and repairs. The report will highlight any serious defects that will need to be immediately fixed, and explore the condition of all accessible areas of the property.
Our RICS chartered surveyors will use their considerable local knowledge to include information on the location and environment, and any legal issues that will need to be resolved ahead of completion.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
The RICS Home Survey Level 3 is the most detailed and comprehensive property survey available. We recommend this survey for old or Listed houses, properties made from unconventional materials, or properties that have been altered. It's important to note that this type of survey was previously known as a RICS Building Survey.
The most expensive choice of a property survey, our Chartered Surveyors will provide thorough and in-depth technical details on the structural condition and construction of the house in question. Repair options including costings will be highlighted in the report, though the rating system is still in the easy-to-read RICS style found in other property surveys.
If the property has any particular defects or flaws, or there are significant ongoing maintenance issues, this comprehensive survey will be the best choice as it's carried out by our professional building surveyors.
