Regulated by RICS, we are owned and run by Simon Dowse who qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1996 and since then has inspected over 7,000 homes. We are pleased to offer our surveying services in central, north and east Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, south Wiltshire and west Hampshire.
Simon only ever does one survey per day so he can spend as long at the property as is needed. He also uses a 10m cameral pole to inspect chimneys and roofs, and will always call you after the inspection to have a chat about his findings.

Review:Simon was very friendly and communicated well with me regarding the whole process. Was not pishy as to which level of survey to get. Price was average compared to others. Used email and WhatsApp so was very convenient. Gave us a phonecall debrief on the survey and then also the report the same day. Was happy to receive questions from me following the survey. A RICS homebuyer report is essential if you’re looking to get a good idea of the quality of a property. The homebuyer survey is best suited for more modern homes built of conventional materials.
We’ll undertake an inspection of the property you’re looking to purchase and provide you with a report which will highlight any obvious issues or concerns.
The report will include details of any defects and any work required so that you know exactly what you’re buying. This information will also be useful when it comes to negotiating the price of the property.
RICS Building Survey
A RICS Building Survey is recommended for older properties, properties with substantial extensions or properties with an unconventional structure.
The Building Survey is far more detailed than the Homebuyer Report and will detail issues in all safely accessible areas. We will check for damp, structural issues, inspect drainage and review the overall condition of the property.
The report will not only prepare you for any work required once the purchase is complete, but it will also give you an idea of whether the property is a worthwhile purchase prior to completion and give you the information you need to negotiate the sale price.
