Simon was very friendly and helpful explaining the answers to our queries. The report was detailed and useful.
RICS Homebuyer Report
A RICS homebuyer report is essential if you’re looking to get a good idea of the quality of a property. The homebuyer survey is best suited for more modern homes built of conventional materials.
We’ll undertake an inspection of the property you’re looking to purchase and provide you with a report which will highlight any obvious issues or concerns.
The report will include details of any defects and any work required so that you know exactly what you’re buying. This information will also be useful when it comes to negotiating the price of the property.
RICS Building Survey
A RICS Building Survey is recommended for older properties, properties with substantial extensions or properties with an unconventional structure.
The Building Survey is far more detailed than the Homebuyer Report and will detail issues in all safely accessible areas. We will check for damp, structural issues, inspect drainage and review the overall condition of the property.
The report will not only prepare you for any work required once the purchase is complete, but it will also give you an idea of whether the property is a worthwhile purchase prior to completion and give you the information you need to negotiate the sale price.
