The RICS HomeBuyer Report is best suited for modern properties built with conventional materials and methods. The report will assess every section of the property including the garage and any outbuildings, and display a clear condition rating and explanation. The report will contain expert advice on legal and planning matters, and a market valuation which takes into account any defects highlighted by the survey.
The HomeBuyer Report is a vital part of the house buying process, acting as a tool to inform counteroffers, and highlight any serious hidden defects that may change the resale value. Like with all of our services, our Chartered Surveyors are open to discuss any and all findings, and will advise you on the best course of action. The report is displayed in the standard RICS format, meaning a clear, concise and easy-to-understand document.
A RICS Building Survey is the most in-depth survey you can have performed on your property, and can only be undertaken by RICS Chartered Surveyors. This survey is recommended for old, run-down houses, heavily altered properties, or houses made out of unconventional materials. Our Chartered Surveyors will perform a thorough, in-depth inspection, producing a technically detailed report containing significantly more information than the HomeBuyer Report.
The report will outlines repair and maintenance options, outline any serious risks or defects, and include annotated photographs. This survey could save you a significant amount of money in maintenance and repair costs, and unearth serious hidden defects ahead of your property purchase. Our surveyor will return to the property with you to discuss all aspects of the report, leaving you fully informed on the next steps.
