RICS Home Survey Level 2
We're licensed by RICS to provide our Level 2 survey in line with their industry-standard methodology. Our RICS Chartered Surveyors will undertake an in-depth inspection of the property's structural condition, producing an easy-to-read report. Each area of the property is assessed for its condition and any defects, which allows you to fully understand the overall condition of a home before you purchase it. Our RICS Chartered Surveyors are impartial, independent, and follow strict rules of conduct, which means you can trust their expert advice.
A Level 2 survey is a vital part of the buying process, as the report can be a vital tool in negotiating an asking price if any defects are highlighted. You'll get expert advice on how best to fix any issues, including advice about on-going maintenance and urgent structural issues. Level 2 are recommended for modern buildings more than 10 years old, properties with traditional construction styles and materials. For any old or Listed buildings, the more in-depth RICS Level 3 is better suited.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
The RICS Home Survey Level 3 is an in-depth survey and report, offering a comprehensive and expert assessment of every accessible area of a property. Our RICS Chartered Surveyors have the practical, expert experience needed to diagnose the full range of property structural issues.
This report is far more detailed than a Level 2, and is meant for old or unusual properties with a higher likelihood of long-term defects. If the property has noticeable defects such as damp, a RICS Level 3 will provide expert advice on remedial action, including costings.
If you're thinking of redeveloping the property or renovating it, a Level 3 will give you all the technical information you'll need on the current structural integrity of the building.
