Conveyancing Company Verification Process

All Conveyancing Partners are Checked and Verified

Our network of conveyancers go through a stringent verification process to ensure our partners are professional and regulated.

Compare My Move have brought together the very best conveyancers from across the UK, and continually monitor user feedback and ratings to ensure our users get the best service possible.

All conveyancing companies are put through our four step verification process before being accepted onto our network:

Step 1 - Be Fully Regulated

All companies that join our network are regulated by the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority), CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers),  LSS (Law Society of Scotland), LSNI (Law Society of Northern Ireland) or CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives). This ensures that your chosen conveyancer will be fully regulated and professional. We cross reference every partner to ensure regulation.

Regulation means that a conveyancing solicitor:

  • Must abide by the principles and code of conduct put in place by the regulatory body.
  • Will maintain high standards of work and operate independently, with integrity and in the interests of their clients and in the wider public interest.
  • Will deal with regulators and ombudsmen in an open and cooperative way.

Step 2 - Full, Working Website

All of our conveyancing partners are required to have a full, working website for your peace of mind. Websites must include up-to-date contact details, service descriptions, and any feedback must be displayed in a clear way.

Step 3 - Third Party Feedback

We trawl the web for third party reviews and feedback about any conveyancer that applies to join our network. We seek genuine customer feedback to ensure only the most professional and friendly conveyancers become Compare My Move partners. Significant negative reviews will result in many cases in an unsuccessful application. We continually monitor our partners to ensure this high level of service.

Step 4 - Code of Practice

All partners must agree to and adhere to our code of practice and we expect the following from them at all times:

  • Contact the customer within 48 hours of receiving your details.
  • Provide a comprehensive and easy to understand quotation.
  • If undertaking the job, ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to complete the job as agreed with the customers.
  • Ensure staff are competently trained and monitored.
  • Be fully regulated.
  • Provide quality customer service throughout and always put the customers' needs first at all times.
  • Offer quality after-sales service whenever required.

Once we accept a conveyancing solicitor to our network, we then continue to monitor them for their entire Compare My Move membership.

We encourage our users to leave feedback about the conveyancer they chose to use. We read all feedback and ratings sent in and this helps us to ensure companies are adhering to our code of practice and operating in a professional manner.

Your ratings and reviews can be seen by future users, helping them make an informed choice.

In extreme cases, if a conveyancing partner is not performing to our expectations, they will be removed from our network with immediate effect.
