"Via did a fantastic job for me. I can't recommend them highly enough. Legal difficulties meant that I couldn't book a mover until the day before and it was not only a regularly full four-bedroom house, but also a garage and loft conversion containing 1000s of heavy old 78rpm records (140 boxes), which we didn't know till late in the day that the team would also have to move those after being let down by the friend who was going to help with this more special job. They were absolutely fantastic, and, as if these circumstances weren't bad enough, they also had to deal with the new owners being completely unreasonable and vile to them and even throwing them out of the house at one point, but they were totally professional down to the last man. I can't thank them enough. I'm sorry its taken a month for me to be able to get this review written, but I couldn't do it from my phone for some reason and I've only just got the laptop set-up with the internet in the new house. I wish Via all the very best for business in the future and I similarly wish all the very best to each and every one of those wonderful lads who were fabulous under those awful circumstances. "The removal went smoothly, the movers arrived on time both at pickup and when delivering my belongings. The movers were happy to listen to which items were fragile and to pack them into the van in a way that they didn't get damaged. They also listened about where to put each box at the new property. In the end none of my belongings were broken during the move. The price was quite expensive for my liking, but likely worth paying if you have important fragile items you'd like to move. The company seem very strict on only taking items they have previously agreed to, so if you want to move your things with the company I recommend declaring all your boxes etc. in advance so you won't be charged extra. Note that their insurance does not cover any items which you have packed yourself, although this seems to be standard in the UK with most removal companies."

"On the whole the team were great. Friendly helpful and respectful throughout. However, it became increasingly apparent that they had major grievances with their employer and that's not something you want to hear. A few of my items were damaged in transit. I'll never know how but I can only assume things were stacked up on top of each other with no protection. Another team came to help part way through and they put things in the wrong rooms which caused major confusion when unpacking. Also when unpacking I was really upset as it was evident that there was a lack of care taken with our clothes. It looked like they had just been thrown in and often with other items with our clothes being used as protection. There didn't seem to be any real system for packing hence, for example finding cutlery in one box and the tray for the cutlery in a completely different box. This was a theme throughout. Reassembly of items was a concern too. I found small metal washers inside my ottoman bed where it had been put together without their use. They have a purpose and should have been used. Therefore although it seemed like a good idea to have the full service. I would never do it again."

With limited resources at a busy time, and at short notice, the team thought of a way to move us and a lot of stuff in best part of 2 days, finishing at 11.20pm on moving day!Always friendly and helpful solved quite a few problems on the way.Moving is a stressful time but Naz and Laura helped us through it.If I were mad enough to consider moving again(!) I would use C&G again and would recommend them."
