Review:Was really impressed with the service by DS Removals. We had ALOT of things stuffed into our tenement flat enough to fill 3 vans. Douglas' guys were fast, professional and friendly and didn't complain about the third floor with no lift either haha. Moving day was nervy for us as we still hadn't signed paperwork till almost afternoon but Douglas and his guys kept us calm and told us to call when we had exchanged keys. We were moving almost 2 hours away and I can honestly say the price was tremendous value. We knew trying to organise a move by ourselves would be tense and stressful so having someone else to do all the heavy lifting and Jenga with our many many possessions and plants was worth every single penny. Review:Although I had a visit prior to moving, the van used was too small, some things were forgotten and had to be brought next day, in fairness the owner did this. Himself. Would I recommend them to someone else? Not sure about that, bit stressful

Hi sarahSorry you feel you didnt get the service that you wanted for your house move but i felt we accommodated you efficiently on the day.First we had you booked in for afternoon move as you were awaiting keys which would have incurred the full cost but you advised day before you already had keys so we deducted £200 for quick entry.The vehicle supplied was adequate size for your move and we got all items in that you required moved by ourselves, it was only one item we forgot to take, which was a mattress topper and i agreed to come next day to deliver.When i arrived next day your husband asked me if i could oblige with taking more items in my van as he was struggling to fit in his car.I obliged without hesitation or charge. We also unplugged washing machine for you and allowed you to keep wardrobe boxes overnight as you were getting a wardrobe built on same day as move.We also hadnt received payment from you and didnt receive until later that night after we had finished move, even though you were requested to make payment day before we obliged with still moving your items.I feel we done everything that was asked of us and more ,as we always do for all our customers.Motherwell

Review:Had to pay A?50 extra on top for my move on the day and the goods I had in storage didnt go ...We had to hire a private van another day and collect the rest ourselves ....I think maybe the organiser should come out and carry our a proper survey of what's being moved and then quote a price both movers Graham and Roy were excellent professional and organised.Anne

Review:Job was grossly undermanned. Took 9 hours to move us. 3 men then down to 2 when 1 left at 5pm. Boss had to come out to help at 6pm. Family and friends felt obliged to help as it was taking so long. Ridiculous considering what we were paying for the service. Our furniture had to be put onto drive way in an attempt to clear house quicker to allow our buyer access. Nightmare of a day. Ceiling light broken in ball but electrician was sent a few days later to fix it.

Hi Jacqui, Sorry that you felt your experience was not to your liking but i dont think we deserve a 1 star.My men were there from 11am to 9pm and worked non stop to make sure all your items were moved without mishap.I think we were overwhelmed with the amount of boxes that came from your 3 bed and it took 4 full van loads so thats why it took so long ,with myself coming down to help so i think we offered great customer service.Regarding your light which was hanging up by the wires and not screws which came off ceiling due to my guys trying to get into your front lounge with your extra long sofa which didnt fit so we had to swap with sofas in your back lounge without hassle.I then arranged an electrician to come fix it a few days later without charge as really it wasnt our fault as light wasnt properly secured to ceiling in first place.As you can see from my comments we work hard and whenever we come across situations we try our best to resolve them.Motherwell

Review:DS Removals helped us move from our 2 bed flat to 3 bed semi.
Dougie was polite, honest and fair when it came to discussing our needs and providing a quotation, and his communication was good throughout the process.
The guys on the job packed, and dismantled furniture the day before and moved us the day after. All the guys were polite, friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they worked very quickly moving our stuff down 2 flight la of stairs all day to get us and our stuff into our new place.
Ia??d highly recommend DS Removals. They stuck to the price, did exactly what they said theya??d do and the whole process was managed well and fairly, with a great team of people on the job.Response:

Review:Actually my moving day was a disaster. My movers loaded up and worked really hard and carefully. At the end of the day my buyers money did not come through in time for me to complete my own purchase and it was not until the Monday that I was able to move in to my new home.
Douglas managed this crisis superbly, (all my belongings had been packed!!) and was able to come up with a practical and cost effective solution that helped enormously.

Review:Absolute rubbish .furniture ruined .hadnt a clue.took 8 hrs suite ruined bedroom furniture ruined .mirror broke .charged extra 50 pound to carry couch up .said it would not go in lift .broke leg on it and left a hole in it trying to force through door .had to b left on landing overnight .wee handyman came next morning .opened zip .removed arm and carried in single handed .took less than 5mins .had a death in family and text company next day .man was cheeky arrogant and not interested.im seeking legal advice .paid 357 pond and they ruined 1000 pound bedroom unit and 2000 pound suite .an utter disgrace

Hi Jean we thank you for your review and when you first complained about unit we asked for photos of damage but 3 weeks later we still havent received.On the couch not fitting in lift and we had to carry up to 9th floor(you originally advised 5th) We agreed beforehand the A?50 fee and im sure you would agree that my guys would prefer if it fitted in lift than carrying up 9th floors!When items do not fit through doorways by any means we then ask owners permission if they want us to try and squeeze through,we got this permission from you and your neighbour was witness,we also advised we wouldnt be held responsible for any damage.As for other items you say have been damaged this is the first we have heard of this.You have denied any of the above happened which has made me review how we do things in the future and now we will carry consent forms so that we have proof in writing for customers agreements.Glasgow
