great from quote stage to fully unloaded

Great customer service whilst booking and up to moving day. The move was a part move and we did the packing so that the majority of our items could be placed in one area. Kat was understanding, friendly and made the booking easy. They were competitively priced too.The day before the move we received a courtesy call to say the porters would be arriving early due to the distance involved.On the day of the move the porters arrived even earlier than expected, which was fine, since we had finished packing. We hadn't move some of the bigger items of furniture to the pick up area and the porters didn't put any protective covers on their shoes or the floor, so brought stones and dirt in when going to collect them. They were annoyed that they hadn't been shown the bigger items in a certain order even though they had the itinerary to look at so could have said which order they needed them. I had requested wardrobe boxes. The ones they brought weren't enough or fit for purpose. One crumpled even before clothes were put in. The porters made makeshift wardrobe boxes with some of the larger boxes I hadn't used. It was awkward to get clothes in and I had to leave some clothes behind. Read more

From day one of communicating they were professional yet extremely friendly and able to put my mind at ease about the stresses I was feeling due to my low mobility. The moving day went better than expected! It was a day of heavy snow and the three lads took all the precautions in the old and new home to make sure nothing was damaged! Easy to deal with and helped the move go smoothly

The whole team was great from start to finish. Paul visited the property, to get a good idea of how much needed to be moved, which meant that the van used was the correct size. Joe, Kyle, Adam and Jacob were brilliant in doing the actual move - I had a LOT of boxes and several flights of stairs, but they just got on with the job and were incredibly quick and efficient. Joe and Kyle then did the unpacking at my new place and again, both were really great in getting everything unloaded and put exactly where I wanted it. Would highly recommend. Read more

Throughout the entire journey they were supportive and reassuring and when the move went awry and kept getting pushed back, Katy went above and beyond to make myself, my husband and my two young children feel like everything was fine. A good bunch of guys, they did a perfect job for us. We needed 3 vans, and despite moving an hour away, we were all unpacked at our new house by 3:30pm. Called J Middleton and Sons after I hired a man with a van from another company and got let down (van cancelled by company after sheduled arrival time) 2 days in a row. I asked if there was anything that they could do to help me move from Leeds to Portsmouth that same day. They stepped up, people came in on their day off and they got me moved out of the flat within midday (called around 9 in the morning). They were knights in shining armour and saved the day. Due to the short notice I had to rent a much bigger van than I actually needed, was the only one they had left, but they were worth every penny. I can not recommend them enough! Read more
