I got quotes from five surveyors and Ark were comparable price-wise with the other four but were able to undertake an inspection the following week (all other firms were giving me dates in late May or June)! Dan was also the quickest to get back to me.

The survey was really easy to arrange, Dan called me on the day to give an overview of what he had found which was really helpful.

The report was very thorough but turned around really quickly. I would definitely recommend Ark and would have no hesitation using them again.

Dan was excellent - very communicative and straight with us throughout the process from start to finish, and produced a prompt, concise and very helpful HomeBuyers report.

I received quotes for level 2 and 3 surveys very quickly. The prices were fair and I initially spoke to Dan for advice on which one to opt for. I decided on the level 3 survey, which was arranged within a couple of working days and it only took a further couple of days to receive the survey back (1 week in total). Dan completed a detailed report to a comprehensive standard. Following this Dan took the time out to go through the survey with me and discuss the main issues identified over the phone. He answered any questions I had and gave honest and brilliant advice to help me move forward. Overall, I was very pleased with the efficient level of service and have already recommended them to a family member.

Great a quick service. The report got an overview of the whole property and great pictures as well. All property is visually inspected and report contains comments about each space. Great value for money!

I was contacted by Ark Surveyors with a questionnaire requesting additional property details. I sent this information and asked for confirmation of costs. Several days later Ark Surveyors sent me an email claiming they had carried out the survey, without me having instructed them to do so, and demanding immediate payment.

A reputable surveyor would not carry out a survey without being instructed to do so and usual practice is to issue T&C's with a contract and invoice for payment beforehand. I refused to pay and then received a follow up emailing from Ark once again demanding payment together with the ridiculous claim that filling in their questionnaire was an instruction to proceed with the survey. This was a clear attempt to intimidate me and I found the whole episode shocking.
