Removals Partner Verification Process

We check every removal company who wishes to become a member of our trusted network for several requirements before we start to connect them with movers.

We currently require all companies to provide evidence of the following:

1. You must have a full, working website or functional Facebook page

For websites: We expect all companies to display their full company contact details, which should include office address, contact number and email address a minimum. Your website should also state the removal services that you carry out and where applicable, customer feedback should be displayed.

For Facebook pages: Your Facebook page must be active and include full contact details, the ability for users to message or call the company and leave reviews, and a company logo. 

We notify all movers on our website of who we have connected them with. They will see your company name, phone number and link to your website or Facebook page.

2. You must provide proof of insurance

An active insurance policy that includes cover for both goods in transit and public liability. Company details must be referenced on the documents, along with active/expiry dates.

3. Terms & conditions

You must provide Compare My Move with a copy of the terms & conditions you supply to your customers. Ideally these will be displayed on your website but if not, these can be sent to ourselves for our approval and records.

It is vital to have T&C’s that you trade under to make it clear to your customers how you operate and what is included, or excluded, in your services/quotes.

4. Photo Identification

We primarily accept a copy of a Passport or Driving Licence, but can discuss other forms of photograph ID if necessary. This is required to ensure that you are the person agreeing to our terms & conditions when taking up our service,

Please note: We will not connect any companies with the moving public until all of the above have been checked and verified.

What should be included in T&C's (guide only)

  • Your quotation procedures
  • Complaints procedures
  • What is excluded from the quote
  • What your customers responsibilities are (i.e. moving items down from the loft, dismantling flat pack furniture, notifying about parking/access issues etc)
  • What happens on the day of the move
  • Payment process for the move
  • Cancellation terms
  • Disputes procedure

If there are references to any membership bodies in the T&C's we will check with these bodies for active membership.
