Founder and Editor of the Mover Magazine, Steve Jordan has almost 50 years of experience in the global moving industry.
Steve entered the moving industry in 1974 and became a director of an international moving company. During that time he visited many thousands of people, in their homes, to assess their moves and provide them with the advice they needed. As well as his day-to-day work ‘on the front line’, Steve also worked closely with the British Association of Removers (BAR), serving on its management committees, including its publicity team and heading up its ocean freight negotiations.
Since 1994 Steve has worked as an editor and writer, retaining a close association with the moving industry. From 1995 he edited the Observer for the Overseas Moving Network International (OMNI), a role he continued for almost 20 years. In 2005 he became the editor of the Removals & Storage, the journal of the BAR; and in 2011 he started The Mover Magazine, the world’s only independent publication for the moving and relocation industry with an extensive, global, online readership. As editor of The Mover, Steve travels widely to industry events and conferences and is a frequent speaker, MC and facilitator. Steve is also one of the independent judges for the annual Association of Relocation Professionals (ARP) awards.
