Based in Cardiff, we connect UK home movers with our network of verified conveyancers and solicitors, regulated surveyors, removal companies, storage providers and house clearance companies saving you time, money and stress throughout your move.

In the process of helping over 1 million UK movers, we also help our network of professionals connect with the movers looking for their services, boosting their work and growing their profit.

The Compare My Move story

Compare My Move was founded in 2012 by Dave Sayce and Marc Benger after 30 years of working in the removal and storage industry. Both passionate to create a product that helped both the mover and the removal company, Compare My Move was born with a strong emphasis on digital presence.

After setting up their own removal company in 2009, they noticed a gap in the market. They created a business model that allowed users to compare quotes from a network of verified removal companies and provide a lead generation service for the companies at the same time.

10 years later and we’ve grown from a team of 2 with 1 service, to a strong team of over 28 creative individuals, 7 departments and 5 services. The first expansion came in 2018 with the launch of our surveying service and conveyancing came not long after in 2019.

The year 2022 saw Compare My Move hit some important milestones. Not only did we launch our 4th service, storage, but our partner network hit the 500 mark. We also grew our team by almost 50% in the past year alone!

With plans to launch even more services in 2023, Compare My Move’s goal is to save you time, money and stress on every stage of your moving journey.

  3. Choose a company - You can then take your pick based on price, reviews and service. We don’t filter reviews, so you can read impartial and unbiased feedback to help you decide.

  4. Collect feedback - Once you’ve been matched with companies, we will collect your honest feedback through our website

Our surveyors must be RICS or RPSA registered, depending on the service. All conveyancers must be SRA, CLC, LSS, LSNI or CILEx regulated

How we collect feedback

We think it’s important to build trust with our customers. That’s why we collect feedback from you once you’ve used our service. We ask for feedback of both our service and your experience with the company you used.

  1. Invite you to leave feedback on us - Once you’ve completed our form, we’ll send an email invite so you can share your honest feedback on our service

  2. Invite you to leave feedback on the company used - We’ll also ask for feedback on the company you used. The company might ask you to do this as well

  3. Publish all reviews - We’ll publish these reviews on our website with the customer’s name, location, date of review and review rating to be completely transparent

  4. Happy Movers - We invite users who’ve left a 5-star review to share more about their move. This lets you learn more about how the company helped the mover and what they liked about our service
