James Croydon of Fieldstone Surveyors recently carried out a Level 3 survey on a bungalow we were considering buying, having collected the keys from the estate agent. He provided the report by the end of that week. It was extremely comprehensive, detailed, identifying issues concerning the building. RICS Home Survey Level 2
Previously known as the homebuyers report, the RICS Home Survey Level 2 includes a thorough inspection of the property to ensure it's in a good condition and worth the asking price. This mid-range survey involves external and internal inspections of the building.
The Level 2 Survey is best suited to buyers purchasing a modern property or one that is in relatively ‘good’ condition. The traffic light system is easy to read and will highlight any obvious defects or damage. Our surveyors are extremely thorough and will complete the survey quickly but efficiently.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
The RICS Home Survey Level 3, previously known as the Building Survey, is necessary for buyers purchasing older properties or those made from unconventional materials. This is because it’s much more detailed and consists of a thorough internal and external inspection.
Again, the survey is completely RICS compliant and our surveyors will be efficient but detailed in their inspection.
