Review:I am very dissatisfied with the Survey Level 3 that was performed by Mr. Don Okeke! I made an official complaint but company didn't reply on in since 10 days already. Before the inspection he didn`t remember the address of property, agreed purchase price. He sent me an inspection confirmation with the wrong address and wrong invoice. I received the report (with the delay and after a prior reminder), which turned out to be a bunch of nonsense and completely unhelpful. Immediately, my husband and I caught many errors contained already from the title page (wrong date of inspection). With each subsequent page, it turned out that many of the photos and descriptions do not apply to the house at all. The house we want to buy belongs to our neighbors. So we went to them to confront everything together with the photos, and unfortunately the amount of errors is enthralling. According to the sellers, Mr.Okeke was very unprofessional. We hoped that the extended survey would reassure us about the condition of the house and the reality turned out to be different. It brought us additional stress and problems and the loss 499 for a collection of nonsense. We feel cheated and disappointed.

We take our practice and professionalism seriously. The client was sent a travel copy document on time and had several direct communication with the the surveyor before this and did NOT call or make contact concerning the travel copy. The travel copy is only a prelude to the final copy. Typos or queries or views are corrected or clarified and presented in the final copy. We have not sent the final copy to the client.. The responsible surveyor has 40 years experience.Whilst we a sadden by the account by the client which is unfortunate and due to her total failure to engage as there is NO record of her engagement since she received the travel copy which was boldly marked travel copy.. What the client has described is completely out of our professional character and antecedents as demonstrated in the all the reviews we have received so far. We have since reached out to the client with the view to mitigate. We are committed to quality and client satisfaction and take building bridges seriously..Southampton

Review:Don was very personable and was available to carry out the RICs survey in good time. He calmly talked me through the survey he did without rushing, expanding on the positives and negatives of the property using his expertise and knowledge of the area. He was open to any questions I had and I found him to be a very knowledgeable and experienced surveyor.When there was a couple issues in the report that I asked to be rectified, he got it done that very same day without any fuss.Overall really happy with this best value report (plus valuation that came in at exactly the price we offered )Thank you Don / Hitchen & Bayford, highly recommend for both value and service

Review:The company was able to provide a great price and was then prompt about conducting the survey even though this fell during the Xmas / New Year period. The survey then put me at ease by clarifying the areas that would need attention, some of which I had seen for myself but also finding other issues that I needed to be aware of.

RICS Home Survey Level 2
The RICS Home Survey Level 2 (previously known as the Homebuyers Survey) can be offered by members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors who have Registered Valuer status. The report will highlight any concerning defects within the home, plus an optional market valuation and insurance rebuild costs.
It also includes advice on issues that may affect the value of the property, what repairs are required and any ongoing maintenance advice.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
Previously known as a Building Survey, the RICS Home Survey Level 3 is best suited to older properties, buildings that were constructed from unusual materials and properties that will be subject to major works. It is the most detailed and comprehensive survey type available which is why it typically costs that little bit more.
The report provides detailed information about the structure and condition of the property. It is far more thorough than the Level 2 survey. One of our expert surveyors will send a report discussing a range of issues, including a description of visible defects and potential problems that need urgent repair.
