RICS Home Survey Level 2
The RICS Home Survey Level 2 (previously known as the Homebuyers Survey) can be offered by members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors who have Registered Valuer status. The report will highlight any concerning defects within the home, plus an optional market valuation and insurance rebuild costs.
It also includes advice on issues that may affect the value of the property, what repairs are required and any ongoing maintenance advice.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
Previously known as a Building Survey, the RICS Home Survey Level 3 is best suited to older properties, buildings that were constructed from unusual materials and properties that will be subject to major works. It is the most detailed and comprehensive survey type available which is why it typically costs that little bit more.
The report provides detailed information about the structure and condition of the property. It is far more thorough than the Level 2 survey. One of our expert surveyors will send a report discussing a range of issues, including a description of visible defects and potential problems that need urgent repair.
