Review:From initial quote to completing the home buyer survey, Cliff and Helen were very professional and responsive in answering all our queries. He advised us to get a home buyer Level 2 report based on the type of the property. We preferred to have the survey done as soon as possible and he managed to schedule us in for an early date. We received the survey report a few days after. The report came back with an issue in the roof and chimney flashing and was described in the report. He kindly recommended a roof contractor to the vendor to get the roof fixed for us. We would recommend Cliff to any home buyer. Thank you once again, Cliff and Helen.

Review:The company got back to me straightaway when I asked for a quote. They were the best value for money so I went with them. I had a home buyers report completed. It was very thorough and the report was well laid out and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend them. I've put 5 stars for on the day but I was not present as its a house purchase and I have not had any adverse feedback from the vendor so feel that's justified.

At Kirk-Brown, we are proud to offer a RICS Home Survey Level 2 or home buyers survey around Medway and Kent. You will need our homebuyer report if the property you are purchasing is less than 75 years old, built with modern materials and remains in a good condition. We can also assist with Party Wall matters.
We have carried out hundreds of homebuyers reports over the years and we make sure we bring our knowledge and skills to your survey. We will thoroughly examine the condition of the property, searching for defects that could affect you later down the line.
Finally, we will present our findings in an easy to read report, highlighting areas of concern. We will offer our expert opinion on how to tackle the issues affecting your property.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
Our RICS Home Survey Level 3, previously called the full structural survey, is vital for properties that are older than 75 years, were constructed with unusual materials and plan to undergo reconstruction work. This survey is the most in-depth as it looks at the property’s structure as well as condition.
We will assess exterior and interior walls, searching for any structural wall damage and areas of concern within the property. We usually find issues such as damp, rot and infestation during our Level 3 Home Survey.
We will put together a clear and easy to read report based on our findings from the survey, highlighting major areas for concern.
Valuations
Kirk-Brown Limited Chartered Surveyor can also assess your home through a professional valuation, whether it's for your mortgage lender or something similar. The Valuation Survey is not a comprehensive property survey, however, and is typically used to satisfy the lender that the asset is worth the amount of money secured against it in the event that you default on the repayments. It will not assess the structural condition of the building but will ensure you're getting a true market value.
If you want an independent view, then know that you are fully entitled to choose your own Chartered Surveyor to truly act on your behalf. We will send out a trusted and experienced RICS registered valuer to ensure you receive the most accurate and professional valuation.

In addition to our other surveying services, we can also assist with Party Wall matters. Whether you are the person wanting work to take place on a shared wall or you’re the adjoining owner, our party wall surveyors can draw up a Party Wall Agreement to settle a dispute.
