Went well, nice chaps. Would use again.

They showed up late and in a bad mood, they didn't communicate with me at all the entire day. Complained about everything loudly as they worked. Told lies to their boss about not knowing what furniture I was moving despite having pictures of all of the items. They then wanted to charge me an extra 120 for a sideboard that they knew I had due to extensive communication from myself to the boss previously. After I said I would leave the sideboard behind and face a 60 fine from my landlord as it was cheaper, they changed their mind and charge me only 80. Then once everything was unpacked at my new property, I realised that they had forgotten my fireplace. Which when I called the company they said what fireplace. So I showed them the photo they already had for said fireplace and they told me they weren't going back for it. Then I got a call from my landlord saying that the removal company hadn't locked the property and the key was missing. So I had to spend 40 on taxis to go back to my property to collect my fireplace myself and to lock up. All in all they are an abysmal company. Read more

Short Summary:

Put old lady in danger by refusing to wear covid masks. Liked saying 'no' to requests. This destroyed the polite, helpful and responsive service from Peter in head office.



Longer version:

The person I liaised with in the office (Peter?) was very polite, helpful and response. I cannot fault that part of the service.

On the day the van turned up on time. Unfortunately everything was too much trouble for the 3 men that came with the van. The first alarm was that the men refused to wear masks even though they were moving house for a 96 year old lady (!!!!). They seemed to have no thought of keeping her covid safety in mind.

They were also super quick to tell me what they couldn't do. When I asked them to move a medium sized pot plant, they said 'we don't do that'. When I asked them to take the back off a sofa 'we don't do that'

They did the basic service efficiently enough, but were very quick to say 'no' enthusiastically when asked to do something even slightly out of the ordinary. In fact, 'no' was their favourite word of the day. But for me, putting an old lady at risk by failing to wear a mask. That was unforgivable! Read more

Absolutely amazing guys helped us move. A very long and potentially stressful day was made so much easier. A company who refused mid-move to move all my belongings until I paid them another A?120. Office guy shockingly bad holding me to ransom and the mover chaps that turned up were continually on their phones, rude and ignorant. I would never recommend this company to anyone as quoted one cost but got the schedule wrong and the date of move causing me a real headache and on the day all hell broke loose with the movers. Very quick ,handled items with care

Cannot fault them at all. Called me before to ensure I was ready and the two lads were so careful with the packing. Great service. I would highly recommend

On arrival, 2 men with no uniform arrived and asked to be shown what needed to be moved. They were not cautious and unfriendly until my husband asked them if there was a problem. They informed us that they will not be carrying anything that is not on the list and that this was according to their terms and condition.
I didna??t have any hope of moving everything as they stalled at any opportunity they had, for example, they sat in their van using their phones at every opportunity.
I was encouraged after eventually speaking to their manager Peter who took the remaining payment but seized communication even before the move was complete.
In the end, they dismantled my back garden table and trampoline and damped them in my backyard without reassembling and left my daughtera??s slide in the old property and stated that it couldna??t fit.
I took pictures of my backyard and have made several attempts to contact Peter or Ejmoves on phone and email without success.
I would not recommend Ejmoves to anyone. Please do your research before you hire. Read more

The 3 guys who came with two transits were brilliant! Couldna??t fault at all . Friendly and accommodating. And had other quotes higher priced . Very satisfied

They told us to pay a A?1280. For a full packing service. After delivering our possessions a day later and we slept on the floor in winter night without our belongings they requested we pay A?300 extra to what they quoted us.
Then threatened to take our stuff after we raised a complaint

Communication was horrible.
They will bring boxes so little a cat wouldn't fit in.

The day was very stressful as I got a quote for a small two bed flat with no appliances or bedroom furniture to move. It was inline with other quotes. A list of items was provided but not in full detail and I have never had to do this with any previous move or company. On the day they half loaded my belongings and then refused to do the rest until I spoke to the office who didn't come back to me straight away so I was very stressed. They actually hadn't even loaded everything that was listed. Then charged me extra. I have never had this with any other removals before. They also said they don't wait and I explained its a normal move where we need to wait for the completion of the sale around lunch time and they proceeded to try and charge me per A?50/hour. In the end i did pay more than the quote because I just wanted it sorted but it was more the stress of the situation that was a problem to me. Being a single woman moving on her own it was unnecessary stress. They should have priced the job properly to start with and come to the property and worked out what was being moved. Read more

The 2 men could not have been nicer or more helpful nothing was too much trouble, the only downside was the van was not quiet big enough so we had to do two trips, it was only around the corner but at the end everything was a little rushed. Read more

Used these for a move from outside Brighton to Liverpool and cannot recommend more highly. The three lads arrived on time and were extremely polite and asked lots of questions re what was being moved.

An excellent service.
Two men turned up in a 2.5 t van, as arranged.
They dismantled beds and wardrobes, pack the van with dozens of boxes and took it to the new house. The van was unloaded, the beds and wardrobes re-assembled and the boxes placed in the rooms indicated.
We returned to my old house and loaded the van again.

A couple pieces of furniture had some minor damage, but on the whole the service was very good.

When the removal team turned up, I was already stressed, but they were amazing! So polite, friendly and hard working, I really couldn't believe how quickly they moved everything and we had a LOT of stuff to move. They were also really good despite our move being complicated as we were moving out of our parents' homes in multiple locations, with stuff stored in garages, attics, several rooms across the houses, but they did it all with a smile. Van was a little too small and had to leave some stuff behind at last min. The guys were very good tho and did all they could but the truck was full to the brim.

They dismantled and rebuilt all the furniture where we wanted it, all our property arrived in exactly the same condition as when loaded and the service was prompt and on time.

Turned up late, all the guys were pleasant enough but English was not their first language, we asked them not to take some bags and they took them anyway (despite leaving them in the downstairs loo with the door closed). We then trusted them to take our belongings and store them for a week. This was a mistake. On their return (when they eventually turned up) only one of the crew was the same as the removal. They then tried to deliver items that weren't ours back to us, damaged our walls on carrying items back upstairs and put heavy item,s back in the wrong places and myself and my husband then had to try and move once they had left. Our items that were missing were lost and after trying to claim back for the items they told us we were lying and the items had never been there in the first place (it was a set of ladders and a bicycle stand - hardly items you would lie about) the claims procedure was laboured but eventually had our money for walls to be repaired and our replacement items once we had threatened legal advice.
