The van was too small, and despite complaining on the day, nothing was done so my son & I had to return to pick up the rest of the stuff. Then a third trip to collect the plants and pots from outside (which were included in the quotation). At the new house, the washing machine was quite obviously (it was pointed out) to be plumbed in in the garage. So the men dumped all the stuff for the garage right where that should be. I had to take everything out and rearrange so my son could plumb it in. They left me in a mess quite frankly with furniture upstairs that should have been downstairs. A terrible experience! Their quote was higher than I expected in comparison with others. However, they were able to move me on the date we were all working towards and they did an amazing job, both in packing and the move. I ended up moving on the hottest day of the year and the guys were amazing, they not only did a great job but kept in really good spirits and good humour throughout. Insuff staff and advice on moving. Quick to take money in advance. Far too much damage to property when moving. Glass was wrapped in chip shop paper and stinks of vinegars

I found Headington Carriers very friendly, and everyone on the team really approachable. The packing and loading was all completed fairly seamlessly. On the move-in day, comms could have been slightly better (there was a slight delay and some of our belongings followed a day later due to a vehicle issue). However, that worked in our favour, as it gave us time to unpack and make space for the follow up delivery (received the very next day). Kudos to the removal team - they moved us in on the hottest day of the year, into a flat with 4 flights of stairs!! There cheerfulness throughout was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend. They were simply fantastic. They provided extra boxes at no cost to us, waited with us to collect the keys - offloaded and re-assembled all furniture. They transported our Electronics and mirrors which we had no box for carefully. Read more

We asked for a packing, dismantling and re-assemble service of the Beds and Wardrobe and moving services. Not everything was re-assembled, therefore I asked for a refund for a non-provided service, and it didn't happen. I strongly do not recommend this company. Read more

Excellent, friendly service. Could not have asked for more.

Positives: Very competitive price compared to other quotes for a long distance move. Friendly and professional surveyor on home visit for quote. Arrived on time and successfully transferred our belongings between properties over a long distance/multiple day move. Movers willing to help with moving furniture already in new property on arrival.

Negatives: Didn't use mattress covers, despite this being discussed at survey. As a result, one mattress got very wet in transit, though we were able to dry it without lasting damage. Movers didn't mention the mattress damage until I noticed it, and also didn't tell us that they'd knocked a drink over in one room, spilling tea on my baby's toys and mattress. The spillage was not my concern - accidents happen - but to not own up was dishonest, unprofessional, and unhelpful (we had to dry the mattress hurriedly before bedtime when discovered). They were going to give up trying to get our bed divan up the stairs after trying one angle, and only persisted when we suggested other approaches (it did fit in the end). Read more

Headington carriers were very efficient and great communication. They provided good customer service and contacted us to let us know about traffic delays. Furniture all moved carefully.
