Removal men were ok the first day. Moody the second day. I left my drawers as other companies slot them back in the chest when packed. Ikea drawes- not heavy. Instead they shoved everything into one box. My sunglasses, jewellery, make up, all in a big heap I now have to trawl through. No idea if anything is damaged or missing. Do not use. Our move was from Balham to Surrey. The team from Illy James could not be faulted. I received clear communication before and during our move, and also has a great team that were super friendly. Illy James also packed up all our items, everything was handled with care and nothing broken. They came in the day before completion to box everything and move a number of boxes out, and on the day of completion we were out of our house before 11am. I had a difficult move end November 2021 as the flat I was moving into had absolutely no parking facilities. Somehow, Ivo and his team managed. I cannot praise them enough. They packed for me the day before and did an excellent job. Two vans and 100+ boxes later I got into my new property. The guys were charming, helpful, worked and worked not stopping for any refreshments and I cannot praise them enough. They even read the water meter for me at my old home. Illy was very patient as I had to keep altering removal dates due to problems with the 'chain'. Also the price was very keen. We were looked after by Alex (who came to give us a quote and helped oversee the move) and Illy for the packing and moving and Illy's mother came and met us on move day at our new house. Their team was very hard working and polite and apparently have been with them for many years.

We have a huge amount of stuff. Apparently over 260 boxes full. They packed it all up with great care. They removed 2 sofas through the window on the top floor of our house (4th floor). They disconnected the fridge and its water supply. Removed key light fittings. Removed and reconnected our washing machine and drier. Some firms would have done none of these these. I could not be more pleased with the way the managed to fit our large fridge/freezer into its new (very tight) home, erecting 2 x 4-poster and various other beds. They took as much care as they could over our family's old paintings and the children's many lego constructions.

It took 4 days: 2 to pack and to move some things to a warehouse; 1 to take our beds, kettle and move; 1 to drop off the last few boxes (using a team of 6). It was very professional and done at a very good price compared with several other firms. Would highly recommend. Read more

When we moved into our new house one of the men spent at least 30mins finding the water outlet to the washing machine, which he plumbed in. Amazing service as this would have been an additional cost in calling out a plumber.

If moving is not stressful enough they certainly DID NOT help with the terrible communication with a number on a number of matters.
1.They turned up over 1 hour late with little to no communication I called the boss lady who had done my initial quote. I asked for the removal mens phone number to find out what was happening. Her response "I can't call them darling they are driving!" Baring in mind we had 2 vans and 4 men on the job! Eventually I got a call from one of the men informing me they were 10 minutes away. This line continued throughout the following hour. My thoughts at this point were that I had actually been scammed as it felt like I was being seriously fobbed off! The attitude of all the staff over the phone during this time was unbelievable! The second call I made to the boss with my apparent lack of reassurance resulted in her actually hanging up the phone on me. I did not curse but I was clearly stressed with the situation with my words whilst trying to remain calm. When they did eventually arrive one man left after a short time due to being unwell also left us with just 1 English speaking. They did not wrap certain items up as discussed at quote. Read more
