Terrible company. I booked a particular day to move, called them to confirm the date and all. Only for them to change the day without informing me. This was a relocation from Cheshire East to Liverpool city centre and the whole process from start to finish was excellent. From the video call with Steve to quote for the job to Bernie being the other person of contact who organised the online paperwork and answered any questions we had. The only issue was that they weren't able to do the move the day I wanted but they did it early the next day so it worked out ok. The guys that moved us were really helpful. Nothing was to much trouble and they were quick with loading and unloading the lorry for our house move.

I was initially happy with Kwikshift until the moving day. I was called 30 minutes before the allocated time to say they did not have enough staff so my details had been passed to another company. I was reassured that the new moving company would arrive on time and that they were trained to Kwikshifts standards. The men arrived over an hour late and during this time, my calls to Kwikshift went unanswered. There were only 2 men with no moving equipment eg a trolley so the move took longer than it should have. The men were really professional and obviously hardworking however, my coffee table was damaged during the move.. I chose not to raise a complaint as I did not see it as the fault of the moving men but their employers, not providing them with appropriate equipment. The moving vans door did not work properly as on one occasion, one of the men had to climb inside to open the door from the inside. After the move was done, to the minute, the first I heard was to request payment! I was not asked how the move went and when I complained that I was unhappy, I was promised a manager would call. The call never came because I paid in full. My experience was not good. Read more

I would highly recommend Kwikshift Removals to anyone. The moving team was brilliant, I couldnt fault them in anyway: arrived on time, pack our house in less than 5 hours, everything was well organised and coordinated. Only thing that I could say need slight improvement is customer service: I had to ring office 3 times and it took over a week after move to get the detailed receipt. Excellent service from Kwik-Shift. Moved from Liverpool to London, from 4th floor to 4th floor on one of the hottest days of the year. Had one man, I believe his name was Shaun, to do the move and he was extremely helpful and friendly. Had a few sentimental fragile items and he was extra careful to ensure they got to the location safely. We had a good experience with this company until we discovered things were missing. Then the company were very dismissive after we asked them if they could help us locate missing items. Didnt collect empty boxes as promised so weve been stuck with lots of boxes to dispose of ourselves. Lovely company until you pay them then attitude changes completely. Moving staff were nice and helpful but contacted the wrong number and came an hour early. Office staff had very bad attitude and were not helpful at all. Will not recommend this moving company.

Head Office start we're polite and efficient - returning calls, responding, taking payments very promptly and so on.
The first visit was from two guys who packed and took the furniture to storage. They were hard working, took notice of what I instructed and were careful with our house and belongings. They coped well with some difficult furniture and awkward access issues.
The two guys who brought our stuff back were less than satisfactory in their attitude. There was a sense of rushing the job (they had another job that morning) and a slap dash way with the boxes and furniture in some instances. This was not all the time and not both guys. After we unpacked, there were several breakages but the majority of the China and glass was fine. In addition, there was a missing shelf to one cupboard and both small keys to two cabinets missing. We eported it and we're in the process of going through a breakages claim.
Neither group wore masks but we felt ok because our rooms are large and well ventilated and we didn't have to be in close proximity to the workers. Read more

Despite an unexpected family emergency with one of the removal team, the company sent out more men to cover the gap and ensured we were fully moved in and set up by day's end.

Brilliant company - arrived on time and two guys did the whole job between them very professionally and without complaint. We were slightly worried about the van size before they arrived but the guys turned up with a huge lorry that more than fitted all our stuff in! Nothing was damaged during the move and we were out of our old place and in the new house within four hours. Paid at the end once the job was completed and it was the cheapest rate we found. Kwikshift were the cheapest plus we wanted a company that could dismantle/reassemble our furniture too. First issue is that their website does not give you a list of items to tick off (unlike other websites) so it's up to you to remember every single item that you need to move. This is not as easy as it seems! As a result, I forgot some items and therefore the van they sent wasn't big enough to fit everything in. We therefore had to do several trips to get the rest of our stuff out of the house (a bit stressful when you're buyers are waiting to move in). I appreciate this was partly my fault though so can accept this. However, the main issue was with the reassembling of furniture. This did not go well! They were meant to reassemble our wardrobes but claimed that they could not be reassembled, so they just left them! We have since been able to reassemble them and found that the issue was due to them being damaged when they were dismantled. They also didn't reassemble our desk (due to losing some of the screws). Having said that, the lads were generally nice and helpful, however I would recommend that you dismantle/reassemble your own furniture if you do use Kwikshift. Read more

A great experience from booking to moving house. There was no hassle,no problems, paid 50% 3 days before move to secure Friday date, paid other half when happy with the finished job.
Callum and Ricky arrived bright and early. Got on with the job and were pleasant,helpful and very efficient. It was a 30 mins drive to the new house, they went first and by the time I arrived at 12, they were completely unloaded with everything in the right room. Strongly recommend Kwikshift. The lads that came were polite, respectful and a??just got on with ita??. I lived in a first floor flat with fire escape type stairs so it probably wasna??t the easiest move theya??ve ever done and when we arrived at our destination they were happy to do a few extras for me like taking furniture (that should have been removed by the landlord) outside and took the time to make sure they had put everything in the right place. Some minor damage to a couple pieces but the company refunded for those.

Furniture that was taken apart for the move was put back together when arriving at new property.

The bloke who came round to assess how much we had to move was fine however this was underestimated. The people on the phone were professional. On the day of the move a van turned up and I instantly knew it was too small. The 3 lads were professional however after 3 hrs the boss was on the phone asking if they were done as they needed the van. An hour later there were now at least 8 men and things started getting flung out the house but there was no space on the wagon. Eventually they offered us to move the rest of the stuff on Sat but this wasn't possible as we had to give the keys back. Eventually the 3rd wagon left around 1900. Had the right sized truck turned up initially this would have been a different story. I'm not slagging off anyone and the after care to replace the damaged microwave was brilliant it was just the wrong size truck for the job. Read more

My furniture was moved with total care by the team, nothing was damaged or too much trouble.
Some of my furniture is very sentimental being in my family since 1880, the team treated everything as if it was their own,
We have plate glass on all our wooden furniture, nothing was damaged.
they arrived as planned 8.30am and did not go until everything placed in the correct rooms at 7.30pm.

Van that arrived was not quite big enough, and they ended up having to shoehorn everything in at the end.
As they were transporting some fairly large house and garden plants, this did not do them much good. In fact two were virtually destroyed, one in particular that had sentimental attachments to my dead parents. Not happy about that, but otherwise generally a good job at very competitive rate. Absolutely fantastic, best value overall by a long way, Patrick called me the day before move date to confirm start times and everything to be moved, the two guys who did the move turned up promptly and loaded everything quickly and professionally, we were a little behind so sent them on their way ahead of us, nothing was too much trouble, they stopped on the way for a breakfast whilst we caught up, I arrived at the property a few minutes before them and checked in with the office to check on an ETA, Simon called me back a few minutes later just as the van was rounding the bottom of the close. The two guys then unloaded the van, again everything was done quickly and safely with no fuss and no breakages, even though our end destination was a very compact cottage.
