Northstar inspired much confidence in the initial stages of quoting and the initial stages of the move: all removal men were extremely courteous, polite and willing to listen and to carry out our requirements. They got on with work promptly. However, arrangements and work carried out got a little less satisfactorily as the move went on over the next days, and particularly as the end was in sight. It seemed that at that stage work was rushed to "get it over and done with." One of the main problems for us was the order in which boxes and furniture was delivered: whilst it would make more sense to deliver rugs/furniture/shelves first, followed by boxes, this was done the other way round which resulted in stacked up boxes, whilst we were waiting for furniture to arrive, instead of being able to empty boxes into shelves. Rugs were delivered after furniture which meant furniture/boxes had to be lifted up to place rugs under. This process did not make any sense and it is something which should be addressed. The other big let-down was collection of empty boxes which was promised, but never happened, despite of several messages being conveyed to Northstar. Good start, disappointing end. Read more

Absolutely brilliant. Their cheerful disposition made up for a very stressful two days of moving. I knocked off a star for moving day, as they had underestimated the amount of stuff to be moved and sent a smaller van. But Denis the owner, visited us around 11 am when we realised things wouldn't fit into that van, and quickly arranged for an alternative. Darryl, Paulina, Victor, Tony, they were so cheerful and helpful throughout the move that it took away the stress of these miscalculations and the overall move. I would recommend this team to anyone. The customer service and attention to detail (everything was packed immaculately) was great and their relentless attitude (no one looked at the clock) made sure we were all moved in by 6 pm and our furniture was assembled as well. It is ok compared to other removals, nothing great. It ended up costing me more due to the damages to walls and furnitures. If the furniture cannot fit in, instead of trying to dismantle little and get it inside, their leader told them to push the customer to dispose the furniture. Getting them to admit their mistakes was another thing. Repairs took so long that before that I had to shift again. Read more
