It was all very easy to arrange, pay for and results were recieved within the expected timeframe. They offered a reasonable quote (in comparison to others recieved), including things like photos and the chance to ask questions on the report if needed. We didn't actually ever speak to anyone, including the surveyor on the day - it was all via email - but maybe this is quite normal in this industry. Overall I'd recommend.

I don't really have comparison to other surveyors, but they did a good job. It wasn't clear for me how the process works and I had to chase them for some information but time of survey was reasonable. Survey has been received, comprehensive with only a couple of unclear items.

No I would not recomend this company to anyone else it took a week to send me the report and then finally i was sent the report through email.I then rung up the company and asked them when they will be sending me a hard copy of the report and was told that if i wanted a hard copy it would cost me 35 so I then went to my nearest stationay shop and got the copy that I printed off bound for 3.86Quite frankly I felt thatI was being ripped off and I would never use this company again or recomend them to anyone else
RICS Home Survey Level 2
If you’re buying a property that is in good condition, built using common materials and hasn’t had any major renovation work carried out, then you’ll need us to carry out a RICS Home Survey Level 2.
The level 2 survey will offer an examination of the condition of the property you want to buy, highlighting any hidden defects that you wouldn’t spot yourself. A property survey can often save you money in the long run, allowing you to renegotiate your original offer to cover costs of repair work.
RICS Home Survey Level 3
When you’re buying a property that is older, built with less common materials or has had major work done, you will need Sterlingworth Surveyors to undertake a RICS Home Survey Level 3. The level 3 survey is the most in-depth property survey you can have and will assess the building’s structure and condition.
The Home Survey Level 3 will be carried out by a professional and experienced RICS surveyor who will create a detailed but easy to read report of their findings. The report will give you a greater understanding of any repair work needed in the house so you can budget and plan for the future.
Valuations
Sterlingworth Surveyors also offers professional valuation services to provide an in-depth assessment of the value of the property. Whilst a valuation is not a comprehensive property survey, it's vital for some Help to Buy schemes and for applying for a mortgage. Our RICS registered valuers will inspect the property's condition and ongoing potential, proximity and locality to desirable amenities and general property identity. It will ensure you know exactly what you're purchasing and exactly what it's worth.
Valuation reports are typically suitable for any property type. However, it won't provide a thorough look at the structural condition of the building like the property surveys do, it's purely a valuation. You should still get the relevant property survey, especially if you identify any defects or issues.
