Increased the quote by 350 halfway through the move. Items have gone missing and been damaged during the move. Hugely disappointed with the experience.

I booked the company in advance, sent them all the videos / pics as requested and they quoted me. I accepted and confirmed. On the day of the move completely different story, denied what had been agreed and made some fuss that we werent packed. Kept saying dont worry we will sort it. One guy was left to do the packing. Towards the end of the move, he surprises me with a new quote and was forced to pay the extra amount.If you want someone to throw everything in boxes without labelling things or any form of order and break things along the way. This is the company you want to opt for. I then called and mentioned the things that were broken to claim for it. Gave me the talk and said send the pics Ill see what I can do, did nothing. I tried to chase and they cut me off. Not to be trusted, they say one thing and surprise you with new things along the way. They need to make a lot of improvements, if they want good business!! They damaged our furniture during the move and are not answering our emails or phone calls to get reimbursed ! UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE! Furthermore, we paid them to rebuild the furniture and they only rebuilt half and left, we had to call them to come back and finish the job (which they did). They are screening our calls and emails and are refusing to pay us for damages on the furniture they damaged even though the workers acknowledged they damaged it and apologised. Easy to arrange the removals and pay the deposit. However on the day the first van was almost an hour late with no explanation as to why. They then charged me an extra 180 on the day stating that the job would take longer than expected. They also said that they needed me to pay by bank transfer the remaining balance before they started unloading which I couldn't do as I didn't have my card reader for my online banking. I felt pressured and ended up having to have someone else pay the balance.However the guys on the day were polite and respectful and managed to squeeze the items into the storage locker well. Expensive against other companies who quoted and only booked due to lateness of moving date confirmation so choices limited.Quick and Responsive to quote however didnt mention the waiting time charges until loaded up and turned up early so likely the van would be sat waiting for completion of sale.Had issue with broken drawers that removal team tried to hide but office resolved compensation quickly and fairly so no complaints about that.Just think it would be hard for me to recommend them or use again Read more

Not great knocked off 300 was oh great lovely 1000 but charged us 250 anyway on top at the other end i feel company should of researched area better thay had dress details it too much walking then tryed to charge ect going over time witch one of vans though turning up later first van finished could load any more in twice call company even removal guy's getting worried some removal guys was kind but sorry i would not recommend or use again Read more

I categorically wouldnt recommend this company from our recent experience a couple of weeks ago. Firstly the money we had to pay was completely inflated because we had to move quickly just before the Stamp duty ended and as a consequence of this the price was hiked up.Secondly the Management was very aggressive when dealing with payment and on the day of the move tried to extract even more money to pay saying that the removal operatives was working beyond 5:30pm so needed additional payment. They finished before this time. In conclusion I recommend that you do not use this company. The only plus on the day was that the removal guys were brilliant and couldnt fault them. Read more

Movers were an hour late; apart from this "glitch" the rest of the move went very smoothly. The two guys (sorry I have forgotten their names, this was over 5 weeks ago!) worked super hard and non-stop. They were polite, friendly professional and took care with my parents' things. As with many home moves, there were last minute changes. We paid an additional A?500 to accommodate this. But I wish he had told us he couldn't do the job. I had previously done a video tour so they knew what to expect but our belongings did not fit in the two vans they sent. We were asked to pay for another van.... Errr, no! The wait meant we were an hour late leaving with the new owners waiting to get in.

At the new property, reassembly of our furniture was shocking. One bed was assembled but not bolted together at all and the bolts were nowhere to be seen. Read more

Turned up on the day with two small Luton vans, did NOT do a full day's packing before (which was all stated on the invoice), added an extra van and man at the last moment. The manager then started adding on extra charges for overtime which was not mentioned on the invoice. They left half of my belongings at my previous address and started demanding an additional A?500 after paying A?1330 (the agreed price on the invoice). The men also tracked oil onto my brand new just laid carpet. I would NOT ever recommend them. Read more

We used Sunlight Removals for our 2 bed house move. They were really helpful from start to finish. We had full packing service the day before the move and Steve worked quickly and efficiently and accommodated working around our young baby and his naps. On the day the guys were great and all our stuff was treated carefully and arrived in perfect condition. We also chose the end of tenancy cleaning service and the flat was spotless. So the guys who actually loaded and unloaded the van are straight up good guys. They worked hard all day and treated my stuff with care. They couldn't have done any better. However, Sami, the owner gets the business by offering promises, like 'I will 1005 be there on the day' which was simply not true. The van they brouht was a little too small so had to fill up two cars too, again this was Sami's fault not the packers. Finally, he brought in the cavalry to move in to the property but they weren't happy because they thought they were done for the day. He then demanded cash and to sign a contract. When I did, he highlighted small print that said that I should pay A?60 per person per hour more. Considering he brought over an extra 4 guys this seemed a somewhat coincidence. Regardless, the movers were great, but ensure that you don't pay, until the job is done. Read more

I had a quote for 550 and I ended up 850 pounds. Moving out was ok but they did not even mount all the furnitures not to exceed a certain time. I had to help them with my husbands to carry the boxes and mount the bed.
I will not recommend this company that I thought initially to be more professional. Read more

On estimate day I made it clear that I am disabled.
Quoted one price charged A?150 more.
On estimate day was told that they would dispose of 1 item for free then was charged A?30 and they left it . The council charges A?10.
On removal day they came with 5 people and after an hour 3 left leaving 2 men to carry on loading then to unpack.

Reliable and trustworthy and really nice! We moved from a 2 bed ground floor and they did it in 2 van loads and 5 hours including dismantling a giant bed and reassembling in the new property.

They promised a stress free experience. It was far from it. Very smooth talking to begin with but when things started going wrong and way off the time schedule they had promised, I started asking questions and they were rude and patronising.
We ended up doing most of the packing ourselves although we had paid for the full packing service.

This company was great in the booking process. Always available on the phone and friendly. On the day the team were hard working and all really friendly. However beware... we were given some ts and cs to sign mid packing - make sure you read them properly. We were delayed getting our keys and they wanted to charge us A?100 per van per hour for any delayed. (It would have been A?800). Upon completion of the move (they didn't end up reassembling furniture as we were so delayed getting keys), we had to negotiate and argue to not pay any extra. This made what should have been a happy moment very stressful, with my husband haggling with the manager with me on the phone to the owner. In the end we settled on A?150 charge and they went away. They completely miscalculated the size of the removal van and storage unit for which I am now having to pay extra for. On the day they took a very long time to dismantle beds - an electric screwdriver would have helped matters greatly. I had to oversee everything. Read more

Guys were incredibly professional and laid back throughout the procedure from viewing the place to get a quote althe way through to dropping off the last box in the house. We were moving from London to the North East and they were extremely good value for money given the distance we moved. Would heartily recommend to all friends and family. Read more
