A Homebuyers survey is recommended for properties which are conventional in type and construction and in reasonable condition.
The survey will focus on defects and problems which are urgent or significant which may influence the value of the property.
This will allow the potential buyer to asses whether the property is a reasonable purchase as the agreed price and the make an informed judgement to proceed or not to proceed with the purchase.
The Homebuyers' Survey Report is reported in a user-friendly format and our surveyor will give their professional opinion on particular features of the property which could impact its present value or future marketability.
Building Survey
A building survey is a more detailed survey and provides a full picture of the construction and condition of the property. This is recommended for older or unconventional properties, or properties which have been extensively altered.
The Building Survey Report will give you a clearer idea of what decisions and actions should be taken before contracts are exchanged as it provides extensive technical information on construction and materials and details any defects or issues found during the survey.
It will also give you an idea of the work which will need to be undertaken on the property, giving you the opportunity to negotiate the price of house and to plan ahead for required work once the sale is completed.
