The RICS Home Survey Level 2, previously known as the HomeBuyers Report, is the most popular type of survey available. It is suitable for properties built after around 1890, of traditional construction materials and seemingly in a reasonable condition for its age and type. It will highlight any problems that might affect the property’s value, and include the surveyor’s advice on repairs and ongoing maintenance. Your surveyor will inspect the interior and exterior of the property and write up an easy-to-read report that clearly indicates any issues.
Level 3 Building Surveys
The Level 3 Building Survey, also known as the Building Survey, is the most detailed type of survey available. It is suitable for all property types but is highly recommended for historical properties and buildings with non-standard construction. Like the Level 2 survey, your surveyor will inspect the interior and exterior of the property. However, for the Level 3 survey, this inspection is more thorough and includes areas that are difficult to access. The report is more thorough in its details as your surveyor will provide advice on how defects can be repaired.
Valuation Report
We also offer Valuation Reports, which can be added to your surveys if needed. A Valuation Report is not a survey as your surveyor will inspect the general condition of the property and consider its location to determine an accurate market value of the property.
