I was disappointed with the way this company handled our stuff on the day. It was quite stressful with them pushing us to get things done quickly, like they had somewhere else to be. When they dropped off our furniture to the new house, they were in a rush to leave as they had another job. As a result they ran off without checking to see if we were happy with everything. Half the crew had run off without re-assembling Some of our furniture which they had disassembled (chest of drawers). They then said it wasna??t part of the contract to reassemble when it very clearly was and they had reassembled other furniture already (dining table, sofa, bed). They literally just dumped things in our house and ran off. They made moving day more stressful and gave us more work to do. I was not impressed and will not be recommending this company to anyone. Brilliant move from Abbey - they turned up on time, helped pack up the garage and genuinely told me to go and get a coffee and go for a walk and leave them to it - perfect! On the other end, I was at the end of a long chain so only received the keys around 4:30pm on a Friday, and they were great then too - no grumpiness as it was a lot of waiting around, just a quick and easy move into the new house when the keys were finally released. Highly recommend brilliant and quick service at a reasonable price!

We managed to book abbey removals within a week of needing to move. They arrived late which meant we were waiting around and a bit stressed. All the staff were very friendly and the lads worked hard and got the job done quickly. The van they sent wasn't big enough for all of our items so they had to bring a second van to get the remaining items in.

When we were quoted it was mentioned that TV's and mattresses would be put in cases/covers, this wasn't done however luckily there wasn't any damage to these items as travelling a short distance so that was ok.

The only problem we have had is with furniture that had been reassembled. The main problem was with the toy shelving unit was not put back together properly and has since fallen/collapsed - luckily not with the children by it. Also they gave my name and number out without my permission. I have emailed about these issues and am awaiting a response.

I would recommend for a man and a van type service but probably not for moving home/ furniture dismantle/reassembly based on our experience. Read more

We had a business and a home to move, which was quite stressful for the both of us. However Abbey Removals turned up and did a fantastic job on both premises, they were really efficient and friendly and nothing was damaged in the process. The whole lot was unloaded at the other end in 2 hours with everything in the places that we wanted. They are great value for money and I would definitely recommend them to friends. Read more

Was a little concerned about booking with this company because of the old adage, a??you get what you pay fora??, however I needna??t have worries. Despite being more than A?500 cheaper than the nearest like for like quote, I couldna??t have asked for more. The team were hardworking, patient and understanding when we didna??t receive the keys until after 4pm, despite them having to unload and drive 140 miles back home. Nas and his team moved me on a very hot day into a house on 4 levels with narrow staircases, lots of dismantling and reconstruction. They did a great job!

The staff were exceptional. The owner has proved elusive having promised a call back re a damaged A?100 bathroom cabinet. I've moved on but all I would say, with all removal companies, is check your large items for damage before paying. I think they'll be more responsive. All in all though a hard working gang of 6. As I say check your stuff before payment. Can't say I wouldn't recommend as accidents happen but took the gloss off an otherwise good moving day. Read more

The abbey removals team worked tirelessly and had cleared the house in record time so i could clean it. They were courteous and did an excellent job. No breakages at all. Would recommend.

Removal men while friendly, were late and didn't bring tools to dismantle the wardrobe despite me requesting this.

Our new house is a five minute drive away but despite this the removal men took detour for food without mentioning anything meaning we were hanging around for 30 minutes plus without being able to do anything.

Didn't really want to take any of our boxes claiming the truck was full and only did so when I walked down and saw it wasn't.

I called the boss a couple of times and appeared to have woken him up at 11:30.

They also bashed one of our light fittings even though I had given them plenty of warning.

Overall we were unhappy with the company and won't be using them again. Read more

Abbey Removals provided an outstanding service on the day I moved house on 29th November 2018. Nas was very reassuring on the day and nothing was too much trouble.
They arrived on the dot and emptied my property with speed and efficiency. It was an awful rainy day and they also protected all the carpets so not to mark them. They handled everything with care and respect. All the guys were friendly and very polite.
When we arrived at the new property all my furniture and belongings were put into place in a flash.

Fast and easy to use and great friendly service.

I had a mixed experience with Abbey Removals but it was mostly good.

It all ran swiftly and I got a nice easy quote early on. They tried their very best to fit us in early and were so patient with us when our estate agents took a little bit too longer to get our keys to us.

The men who came to move our stuff were extremely friendly and also very efficient. Within about 20/30 minutes they had disassembled and cleared our flat.

The small issue came when we got to the new flat. When I got the quote I was asked if the new apartment was much of a walk. I told Nas that my apartment was right next to the car park and I had access to the car park. When the men arrived they explained that they could not access the car park with their van. Nas called me and said that the workers were not happy with this and asked me what I was going to do about it and decided at this point to tell me they cana??t access any city centre car parks (why not tell me when I said during the quote!?). He even said I was lucky he was not there (maybe jokingly?)

In summary, I cana??t fault the workers. I just wish Nas had owned up to his workers and explained he had not told me about the car park. Read more

The guys who moved us arrived on time and were very quick loading us up. Unfortunately when they arrived at our new home, the guys decided to open all the windows, and unfortunately one of the large window frames FELL out and smashed. The guys continued to offload our belongings promptly. They also managed to put the window frame back together, and into place. Nas promised he would contact his insurers, and give us details of how to proceed with a claim for a new window. We have contacted him a few times since and still have not heard anything. Consequently it looks like what we thought was quite a good deal could end up costing us a lot of money, through no fault of our own. We may have to pursue this matter. Not very happy!!! Read more
