Beware! Ideal Man & Van will quote you a cheap price, but there's more than just one catch. First of all, the quote was for 3 hours - it took 7 hours, with every hour beyond the original quote costing extra. Ended up paying more on extra time than on the original quote. Their equipment is insufficient. No straps, harnesses, or dollies - just two scrawny guys and a small lorry. Too small, as it turns out, to make the move in one trip. Meaning another hour on the clock in our case. Some small scratches etc on the furniture, but that's to be expected. The big one: during the final stages of unloading, the movers suddenly stopped working and demanded payment in cash and in full, otherwise they wouldn't finish the job. First a phone call from some alleged "boss" person to back up the demand, then, when we were about to call the police, a phone call from the office lady we had dealt with before apologising for the "misunderstanding".Bottom line: This is a highly questionable outfit, and in retrospect I wish we would have chosen a different company.
