They were great! Quick, efficiant and good communication through the whole process.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful experience.

My items were withheld for over two weeks unless I agreed to pay more than double what the original quotation was. In the end due to continued poor customer service and a threat from the moves manager to add storage costs to the quote, I had to hire a second moving company to pick the items up from JCL and finish the move.

As for the work itself - the JCL packers arrived c.5 hours late to the property on the day of packing and therefore had to return the next day. Items were broken, fragile valuables were packed without bubble wrap or protection, clothes were shoved into bin bags rather than portable wardrobes, nothing was packed in blankets for travel protection, there were no mattress covers or protectors used, clean white sheets were left on mattresses - becoming filthy from the van / move, boxes weren't taped down, & plants were left loose within the van (many died due to being left for 2 weeks). I received photos from my second moving company when they collected the items.

Personally moving forward with legal action and would strongly recommend anyone thinking of moving to stay as far away from JCL as they can. Read more
