Absolutely a great moving company and Id highly recommend

The whole exercise including an estimate was extremely well planned by an advanced visit. In the morning, the packing up was done most efficiently, my having done as much preparation as possible. Meanwhile, I was able to travel the 150 miles by train, arriving just in time to greet the team who moved me in perfectly. Excellent service from start to finish, Gavin was brilliant, he came out to quote and explained everything they would do on moving day. All the lads did a great job efficiently and carefully clearing the old house out, unfortunately they had to wait around 4 hours until I got the keys to the new house but they were always friendly and polite throughout, cant recommend Pro-Porters enough! Very efficient and took great care with everything. They were on time in the morning, early in fact, and had our flat packed up swiftly within 2 hours! the whole day ran so smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. They even happily supplied a second van to divert to a second address, as we needed some appliances collected that a relative was giving to us. All our fragile items were wrapped using specialist materials, even the sofa and mattress so it was protected and any dismantling/rebuilding was included. Read more

The team engaged straight away and we arranged a date time there and then. Given the remote location of pickup (a storage container), they were bang on time on the given date. The speed, efficiency and no messing around approach left me kicking myself I should have used them before rather than moving the stuff into the container with my 18 year old son. They delivered everything exactly where I wanted it with extreme care (brand new house). The boys were so friendly and chatty it left me very happy with the service. Some difficulty making booking as apparently their internet was down, and they didn't call back. Not the cheapest quote, but excellent service from the removal guys - very efficient and polite.

We were delighted when the team arrived on time and with a good attitude including smiley faces!
The house clearance went well and apart from a wait, the keys to the second vehicle rear doors had been left at Cheltenham; all was completed; including the journey to Dorset, in good time.
The delivery to our new home we felt was rushed and some damage to the property and a wardrobe has been noted. It seems one of the 2 lorries had be to back at Cheltenham by 5.00 pm absolute latest! This we felt was the event where the damage was caused to occur. The quotation was the mean average of those obtained. Read more

Outstanding company and crew. We have moved 17 times and this was the smoothest move so far. The crew was quick, efficient and very helpful. Efficient,professional and polite. This company kept me informed right up to moving day and even rang to tell me of a delay because of snow on the morning and kept to the time although the weather was bad.The two men got stuck in straight away and didn't stop until everything had been moved to the new property (and i mean everything). The boys arrived with two vans which we never thought would take all our stuff but they fitted it all in like a Rubik's cube. They were polite helpful and turns up on time. The quote was reasonable level about A?100-150 cheaper Han the other quotes. They took our beds apart and reassembled them the other end. All in all made moving a lot less stressful Read more

Wow what can I say, these gentlemen were professional, polite and hard working from the word go. I couldn't have chosen a better company, they worked so hard. It was hot and all items needed to go into storage. They were very grateful for the coffees, iced coke and chocolate biscuits. I wouldn't hesitate when recommending this company and if I had to score them out of 10, I would give them a 15 as I couldn't have got through it without them.
