The two guys were very friendly so I feel bad leaving 1 star however dont know how else to get this issue resolved - they took an extra hour to get to my place because they tried to take the van through a tunnel that was too small. I was charged 75 for the extra hour (they spoke to the manager who confirmed this). I have since sent several emails which have not been responded to, despite it being in the agreement that I signed that I would not be liable for any extra time on the move that was a result of the removal companys negligence. Great! Moving day went really smooth

The two men arrived over two hours late and stated booking error. However the two friendly moving men did a great job and was very careful with all our belongings. The job took over 1,5 hours longer than planned even though we helped move a lot of the things ourselves. George expressed through email that he would not do anything to the price even though they showed up two hours late. Read more

I could give 0 stars if I could. No time management, inefficient, stressful as the owner does not care if you have time constraints even if you tell them in advance. If you complain, and send pics then the owner threatens to cancel your job midway through the move. No concern for fragile items, even if it has been marked on boxes. The guys were nice but work very slowly so that they can charge you for more hours. Scratches on the furniture, the window seal broken (from where they moved furniture & boxes). I have moved 6 times and this was the worst experience and so I would never recommend Gmoves Ltd!They quote lower prices but as they charge per hour, they work slowly to charge you more. They quoted by the hour and its your responsibility to get your stuff boxed and ready etc so all they did was turn up and move the items, but they were brilliant on the day. So polite, hard working and effortlessly easy to give direction to. They packed the van with no inch spared so it all fit in one Luton (just). Couldn't fault them. Read more

Nice people but not professional movers. Was promised a moving van, ended up in a normal transit. The woman was very slow and got lost more than once on the drive, adding unnecessary time to the day. It was a tricky move since we had some obstacles, (second floor without a lift and unable to park in the street of our flat) but Gmoves were still able to do everything quite swiftly

They were amazing! The lift in my block broke on the day of the move meaning everything had to be carried down a flight of stairs to the lift below. The guys didn't complain at all and just got on with it. We finished the whole move in just 4 hours, would highly recommend them to anyone planning a move. Read more

Not a good one unfortunately. Promised to match any price from any different provider, as a result i paid 370 to relocate a one bedroom flat from SW1 to SW5 postcode. They were two hours late, small van, not minding fragile notices, incredibly slow as charging by an hour at the end. 3 of us had to do a lot of lifting ourselves due to incredibly slow pace of movers. 5.5 hours for a one bedroom flat for a very close move. I dealt directly with the manager who was always responded promptly and was very direct and understanding.My delivery driver arrived an hour late and essentially was not even apologetic and had no sense of urgency when moving clearly aware of the clock as the charge is 65 per hour. What I found really disrespectful was the fact we had not yet finished the move and despite being an hour late himself told me I only had 8 minutes left and after that he can help me remove the remaining items but only for an extra tip. I found this extremely unprofessional and moved the remaining items myself rather than pay this man an extra penny. Read more

Good at the actual move but overcharged for more than was on the invoice then refused to refund the difference.

They charged me 20 more then the quotation and they took only 1h and 15min, they came in 2 but only 1 did the job the other stayed at the van. I paid 150 for less then 5 miles. They were excellent and really helpful and knew how to pack smartly. Swift service and empathetic to the stress of moving day. Prices were reasonable and the reason I chose them.

We had an awful experience with G moves. The whole process was extremely disorganised. The movers disappeared for 3 hours. When we tried calling to find out what was happening the phone was switched off. The manager was unable to help. eventually they arrived, but they did not have all our belongings with them so we had to move things later ourselves. We were also charged for the 3 hours when we don't know what they were doing. I raised this with the manager but he didn't seem to care. They were competitively priced, really helpful and friendly, and took great care with all our items. I would definitely use them again, they made the move easy.

Initially, fine - punctual, very cooperative. But as soon as I noticed they'd damaged my wooden TV stand (which they denied and kept denying, despite bits of wood clearly visible beneath the damaged area), they became rude, pushy, kept trying to make me pay the full amount by bank transfer to the driver's personal A/C, not the company's. Spoke to the manager who eventually offered to deduct 40, then only later (after way too many phone calls) explained 40 was as per their T&Cs, then accused me of not reading them before accepting their quote (I had read them before accepting weeks prior, hadn't memorised them - apologies!). I re-read them, accepted their resolution, demanded a Gmoves account number to transfer money to (which the manager then supplied). Found more damaged items after they'd left. Would not recommend. Efficient, fast, friendly and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

The team were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The move from the old address involved a lot of walking from the property to the lorries but they never complained. All team members were efficient, professional and helpful. Only little niggle was a difficulty with reassembling the Victorian bed for the master bedroom which has a couple of screws missing and was unstable, it had be redone after the team left. No breakages at all. Would definitely use GMoves again. Read more
