From the outset, Mr Madi was very helpful in guiding us through the moving process and gave us a very competitive quote. He was attentive to our requests, including postponing the move at short notice. On the day of the move, Helpful Movers arrived on time with the right number of people and vehicles for the move. They completed the move efficiently (3 bedroom house moved in 3 hours) while taking excellent care of fragile and valuable items. The moving crew were friendly and put in a lot of effort including disassembling and reassembling furniture and moving heavy boxes up stairs.Overall, Madi and Helpful Movers made our move much easier and we would highly recommend them.

The company was quick to reach out to offer quotations as soon as I had enquired. Madi was there to onboard me onto their platform and within a few days, after I had assessed my move, they video called me to make a final assessment as well as a direct quote, thank you Yasir.On the day of the move, the team member Chip was on time, polite and very expedient. Excellent service, full pack and move for a large 4 bed house over 200 miles inc=volving 3 men and 2 large Luton vans.This was a fairly major move for us and we could not afford for it to go wrong. Due to complications in the chain we had uncertainty about the date until 1 week prior. Tim at Helpful Movers was very good at ensuring that we were able to move our date without penalty.The team were professional, courteous and easy to deal with. They took good care of all our goods including a racing bike and several very large and heavy (but fragile) potted plants. Despite the inevitable delays getting the keys they were brilliant throughout.Highly recommended.
Really on point, regular contact prior to move. Moving day, movers where on time, worked efficiently and were a great team. On the other end moved everything to labelled rooms and got me a chair to sit on to give directions for unlabelled items.

Helpful movers were great value for money, the cheapest of 3 quotes. We had 2 packers come the day before the move with all boxes and wardrobe boxes. They were very efficient and packed everything, including china and breakables, very securely. On the day we had 3 5.5t vans and 5 guys. Again, they were very efficient and careful about getting everything in the right rooms. They reassembled beds and wardrobes and checked on positioning within rooms before assembly. Recommended without hesitation.
Very helpful, very efficient. The staff were polite and careful with all 5e delivery. They also came by a few days later to collect the empty boxes which saved me a trip to the recycling centre. Recommended.
After comapring and getting 4 quotes, Helpful Movers were the cheapest by far. They had time to come and view the flat and give me a quote. Thier staff were quick in packing. Very sattisfied.

Hassle free move - our ever changing date was no problem and everything went smoothly on the day - we have some difficult furniture to move but with these guys it was no problem. Would definitely use again.
One of the movers behaviour was quite unacceptable, didn't care at all to be careful with our items or walls even after several warnings and on the top of this, at the end he was asking for tip!!! While the other guy was brilliant and was in shame because of his colleague.
The team moving us were fantastic. We booked at very short notice and they worked so hard all day getting our stuff loaded up and dismantled. We had a big move from London to the south west so it was a long day all around. One watch out is that there is an additional charge for working after 5pm (which was inevitable with a move like this) which I wasn’t aware of. We didn’t have to pay it in the end, but calls from the head office asking for more money is the only thing that has lowered this review form five stars to three. Otherwise they were great!

Helpful Movers quoted me for a 5.5 tonne truck. On moving day we were then told our BBQ and wardrobe would not fit in, and we would need to pay 750 for a second van.The 5.5 tonne truck quote came from the MD of the company visiting my property and making this assessment based on the furniture we had. After he made that assessment, we actually threw out a large number of items we didnt need anymore including chairs and drawers, but still the truck wasnt large enough on moving day.The company also provided us two workers when quoting three, and they did not have the equipment quoted such as piano dollys etc.I have tried to request a partial refund to cover the cost of the items, but have been told no. They have told me unexpected items were at our household, but despite me asking several times they have not been able to confirm what they are.PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This was the email I sent to helpful movers to which I got no response from the company. Completely appalling service.
Your moving team did not follow standard health and safety procedures as set out in government guidance for removal firms re COVID-19. The removal team were not wearing their masks properly and sometimes not at all. No one washed their hands before they started to pack boxes and when I asked the man in charge to please wash his hands, he was very dismissive of me, questioning my request and stating that he had hand sanitiser in his van.
One of your movers had a badge which exempted him from wearing a mask. Your removal company did not call or contact me beforehand to ask whether this would be okay with me. I am in a high risk health category and this made me extremely anxious and stressed and I would not have agreed to this.
I asked for an unpacking service for one room which I paid for as an additional cost. The worker who began to do the unpacking did not pack the items and so had no idea what he was doing.
I called Helpful Movers office just after the incident to relay my dissatisfaction and the guy on the phone refused to listen to me and brushed me off
They are subcontracting the removal staff and do have any quality control over who turns up and delivers the service. On the day, the removal team that arrived broke items, damaged the flooring in one location and the wall in another, then dragged our mattress on the ground staining it with mud. We also asked repeatedly during the quote process and before the move date to have a person with specific skills available to dismantle our gym equipment but on the day the team was not capable of doing this and had to leave the equipment behind, costing me extra to have it moved at a later date. Our only recourse was to claim through their convoluted claims process at which point we gave up. Personally, I think I should have paid more for a direct removal service to do my move and wish they were more clear on their website that they are not the actual removal company that will complete the job.
Unfortunately, I had terrible experience with them. In the quote I had received there was clearly written that the guys would have removal's equipment (navigation, trolley, piano dolly) and item protection. Nothing of that was in place, the guys had to move all our boxes by hand one by one, slowing down the entire moving. Moreover, our furniture were not protected and, as result, they scratched and damaged some of them. When I complaint about that, sharing clear pictures, the answer I was given was 'it's just a scratch', apparently in their way of working having a scratched cabinet in the living room is normal. Also, when my TV stand was brought in the new house, I noticed some footprint on it, which means they walked on it. After the very first complaint they started to ignore me completely. In addition, I was told they would have wore PPE and covered their shoes or floor to protect the carpet, they did not have any PPE and I had to complaint over the phone to make sure they would have covered the carpet in the new house. As said, no equipment at all, which slowed down the entire moving. If you are looking for a very professional service, avoid this Company at all cost.
An extremely disappointing job due to an unprofessional Team lead. He appeared to deliberately take longer than the quoted time of 6hrs to only complete the job in 8.5hrs, constantly reminding me that I’ll have to pay for every hour over the designated time. Some furniture was not even moved, tools were left lying all over the house (my tools as they did not bring their own), team lead was on his phone constantly or heading to the shop and tried to charge me additional fees for packaging. Damage was done to some of my furniture as well as to the property itself. The quote of packing and removal was a waste as I ended up having to assist with both tasks which was not part of the agreement. After calling the manager and complaining, I was not charged for any additional packaging or for the additional hours worked Will not use this company again and will certainly not recommend them.
