Fantastic service, easy and professional
They said survey can be done same or next week, i ended up waiting for over 2 weeks. Ignored my request by saying if something changes they move it but didnt give me any explanation. Extending also survey report. Very bad experience. Wouldn't recommended.
We are in the process of buying a late-Victorian house, so we were looking for a structural survey (RICS Level 3) to be carried out along with an evaluation. Our experience with Prinsegate CS has been great from the start. All communication was clear, swift and polite, and I would like to thank Jemma and Sarah in particular. They arranged a visit to the property liasing with the estate agent directly and they even managed to push it forward by a couple of days when they had a last minute cancellation.The survey was carried out by Laine Benn, who we cannot thank enough. She not only provided the most thorough report, highlighting all defects and potential issues that needed a specialist's assessment, but also was so nice as to go over all her findings on a follow-up phone call where she explained in simple words what we had to look out for. Her evaluation report was also very accurate and surprisingly close to the lender's surveyor's evaluation! Outstanding service.We will definitely use Prinsegate's services again in the future and recommend them to all our friends.Thank you!
Overall good but took a while to upload the survey
We booked to have a RICS Level 3 survey completed with added extras including Early appointment, 24 hour turn around , thermal imaging and drone pictures. Each on of these added extras came at a cost which we were happy to pay.The Survey took place in an early appointment, however the report took the normal 3-5 working days to come through- we had to ring to chase this. Why did we bother to pay extra! We had a follow up call with the surveyor which was very helpful. We raised at this point we didnt have the drone or thermal images.The drone and thermal imaging pictures were not present on this report.We chased for these items and after a week they still hadn't come through! I called to ask to talk to someone and complain and request a refund. No one called me back!Instead we got an email, "have you had the drone pictures and thermal imaging report through?"I called again, I just wanted to talk to someone about the service, I requested someone call us to discuss this matter, but AGAIN, no one called us back and this time we got a message over their portal service "a partial refund will be generated in 5-10 working days" No explanation or apology.

Final report was covering every little detail, then when you asked the question afterwards, I was told it was ok.Surveyor just seemed to cover every outcome to cover himself.Report said he was not allowed access to garage, but owner said yes he was allowed access.Then when I asked this to the surveyor, he said we ran out of time.A big point was made of condensation in roof, then when I asked this, he said he would expect this, especially at this time of year.Just seemed like every possible outcome was covered in surveyors favour.Price was good, but report seemed not so.
Excellent service and quite precise report that helped me renegotiate the price of the new property.. Hopefully this will help me to minimise any future repair costs too.

Having used a different surveyor last year I could definitely see a difference in quality. I believe the surveyor themself who performed the inspection did a fair job but the report that came back was really lacking.Took about a week to arrive which was 3 days later than they said it would. I had to chase them twice and it arrived straight away after my 2nd chase so clearly they had forgotten.The report itself had spelling mistakes (apparently had been spell checked by the company). Also talked about a colour coded system but it's not easy from a first glance where any problems exist with the property.The biggest fault I could see was that there was so much fluff in the report, it would tell you about eveytype of roof material even if the property only had 1 type. Complete copy and paste job, 120 pages could have been about 40 imo.The survey I had done last year also had some rough estimates on what things would cost to do. This company didn't do anything like that. I know a true estimate is hard but a rough ball park figure wouldn't have gone a miss.Won't be using this company again in the future.

All in all good service, there was a day or 2 delay on receiving a report but honest and in-depth report allowed me to make difficult decision to pull out off sale. The best decision I have made, really. Thank you for your Level 3 report.

Paid for a RICS Level 3 Survey - it was generic, lacked information and missed several defects, one of which was a serious structural issue. Report is not worth the paper it is written on. The Co Dir, Nicholas Prinse's response to my complaint was rude and threatening. He has said he is going to charge me 250 an hour for time spent on my complaint! Tried to bully me in to not taking things further.

The report received was clear, concise and abundantly more useful with the images provided, with arrows highlighting any fine detail.
